Little interest in the sport. American males, including the best athletes, are into American football, basketball, and baseball.

The American Women's team does not have to compete with any other sport, so most young girls take up soccer.

Something a lot of dudes may not want to hear, but traditionally, most men were not "successful."

Too many people have the idea that they can just show up as they are and get all the benefits of success. That's not how it has ever worked or will work.

Men, need to show up. Not just physically, but mentally - as a man. Becoming a man isn't just hitting a certain age milestone. It's always been about a rite of passage. Most cultures recognize the importance of becoming a man. The west has distilled that down to making money and paying bills.

Well, that's not what a man is. That's being a good serf.

Being a man is becoming formidable. A leader. The head of the household and the room. Contributing to the community by virtue of his mental, physical, and spiritual strength. Not the modern abomination of self-indulgence and neglect.

That's typically raw data, not studies.

There are lots of stories online similar to this one, for anecdotal support.

quote:

YouTuber Alexander Grace teamed up with his friend Sada for the social experiment, providing her with photos of himself to use for her fake Tinder profile.

Sada admitted that she thought it would be 'easy peasy' to get matches with Alex's pictures, and assumed she'd be lining up dates in no time — but she was discouraged to get fewer matches than she thought, and even more frustrated to be met with radio silence when she would initiate conversation.

The problem is these anecdotes don't come close to the whole story, either, as they use mediocre or better males. That's top half. Now imagine how hard things are for the bottom half, 25%, etc.

You tell a huge chunk of the population of men in a society that they have no hope of romantic connection, or sometimes even just non-employment interaction with women, and society is going to have a bad time.

Again, the nihilism crisis didn't just form out of nowhere

Our training infrastructure is arrogantly American and prevents top development at scale.

That's not why. We have more youth participation than lots of other countries who are great at soccer. We don't develop talent because our youth system isn't built properly.

How many more men than women (or more women than men) use these apps and swipe?

This discussion has very little to do with genetics.

This is a sociological/cultural problem

Feminism is a crutch for emotionally weak women.
Feminists can't be weak if they're pushing men around, as some are claiming. It took courage and strength for early feminists to speak out.

I have no issue with feminism, but I do with some feminists. Like all groups, they have their extremists.

I have an explanation for the nihilism but I have to figure out how to phrase it in a way that will be palatable to a bunch of men who worked hard for every single thing they’ve ever had and have never benefited from anything ever.

As far as I've seen, there is only one person who is a regular poster who fits (or is close to fitting) into the nihilism paradigm, and that's kingbob.

Your comment above seems to be addressed to a forum of incels, when it's mostly married/divorced men.

You needed Hollywood movie reference to complete your Hollywood-brained thought.

Also funny to see people who think bodybuilders are "manly".

All westerners know is Hollywood stereotypes anymore. That's all everything is, a stage performance and "looking" the part.

Sooo marriage is terrible, women should spend more time with their friends than their husbands...

I guess if your life experience is being married to an alcoholic and being at war with your mother in law...

Why do people with shitty marriages always give advice.

Wow

It’s almost as if women are natural nurturers and men are born killers.

Who the frick would have guessed.

Maybe it’s a social construct.

Yep, most people are just playing a role, imitating someone else.

Men aren’t typically as emotionally “needy” as women are. The article seems to see men and women as equally emotionally needy, but because of implied cultural toxic masculinity, men don’t have a good outlet for their emotions so they burden women.

As with much of leftism, they don’t understand reality is that God made male and female both in His image, but with different characteristics, attributes, and natural strengths. We are not the same. Men and women were made to compliment one another, not compete against each other.

The underlying Marxist worldview of the left rejects God’s reality and tries to substitute its own.
