A bronze plan shouldn't be $700 a month unless you're in the middle of nowhere in Idaho or something.

Trump isn't funding the subsidies which the bill Democrats wrote didn't fund, and the federal courts ruled funding them would be unconstitutional... so Trump's fault.

If you can afford nice dinners, you can afford an increase in your health care insurance premiums, and go to less nice dinners. Or eat ramen noodles.

You have very clearly never tried to purchase a bronze plan. I was thinking $700 wasn't that bad, relatively speaking.

My brother works for the state. The state insurance is not good.

did trump eliminate the fine for not having insurance?
Posted on 11/2/17 at 9:28 am to Lsupimp
oh i can't imagine
it's a major reason why having kids just hasn't really been something that is economical
i mean the general economic reality of my generation just makes me want to be very nihilist about it all. our generation is fricked
i have to be PRETTY rich to really get ahead and be able to live a life and properly raise my kids

i have no idea but with my license i can't risk it
if i get even an administrative action i likely have to report it to ODC and they investigate me, etc

I just went to the ACA Exchange to get my 2018 quote.
This quote is for a single, non smoker, male, mid 40s, self employed who makes more then 51K per year(I don't qualify for a subsidy). Here were my offers.
Bronze level - 7500 deductible $576 monthly premium
Silver level - 6000 deductible $798 monthly premium
Last year my bronze level quote was $465 month.
I will not buy health insurance again this year(i didn't in 2017). I will roll the dice hoping not to get sick. These premiums are a cruel joke.
Everybody who is saying "my insurance didn't go up" or "mine only went up 4%" probably have employer based plans. People who have to buy individual market plans are the ones getting hammered.
Pre Obamacare my policy was costing only $125 per month. Now they are asking me to pay $600 a month. I succumb to a 500% increase the last few years. Totally unacceptable.

don't worry your old plan didn't cover anything and you're too stupid to make your own choices, including having to have sex-based treatment for those not of that sex
