I'm okay with you paying a down payment on future health care needs you may require, and keeping costs down for everyone as a result.

And when I don't need it, can I have my money back? If I don't use it, why should they get to keep. After all, you did say it's a down payment on future healthcare needs the individual paying may require.

Bama ATL has convinced me that everyone who got sick prior to the passage of ACA was immediately dropped from insurance and died from lack of medical care. I forget any of that actually happening but apparently it did.

Also, he's convinced me that everyone is going to get a major medical condition in their life. I don't have the statistics in front of me, but I bet more people die of old age than those that don't. Hell, many people that didn't die of old age had the medical coverage; and there just wasn't a medical cure to resolve their issue.

Furthermore, NOBODY had actual insurance before Obamacare. Everyone had junk policies with really high deductibles that made them unusable, and when you tried to use them, that one use put you right over the lifetime max cap of what must have been $1.00. She would know, as apparently, she has a copy of everyone's pre-Obamacare policy in a dossier in her office.

You're not being punished - you're merely not being allowed to be a free rider.

uh, pre-ACA i could negotiate a plan without maternity

You can still negotiate a plan, but now it has to include maternity. You're still able to pick whichever of the offered plans that you want - but now they have to cover certain essential health benefits.

You're welcome!

He's done the opposite of this.

He refuses to sign a bill that funds the CSR payments, calling them 'bailouts for insurers'. CSR payments cost the govt less than not providing them.

At that point, you'll be dead.

Found the reason your being punished. Those who don’t learn to depend on government will lean to suffer by government.

Anytime someone would tell their story about how they had a premium increase, they would be shouted down with lines like "You're a liar!" or "Anecdotal evidence isn't real evidence!"

This law is bad for the middle class. It is indefensible.

A single male with maternity coverage. Lololol

Again, show his certificate and highlight the missing pieces that caused you to declare he didn't have insurance. What a shill and liar you are.

How was I a "free rider" prior to the ACA?

Cover...what, exactly?

I'm talking about negotiating for a plan without it. Why can't I?

In my best condescending BamaAtl tone:

"Because Obamacare mandates a set of Essential Benefits that everyone needs, whether they realize it or not. Without them, you didn't have true health insurance. you had a garbage plan. You're Welcome."

If a liberal is calling your rate increase reporting a lie, then they are one of two things:

1. A welfare schlub who has never pulled their own weight

2. A college kid who is still not responsible for paying for their own insurance.

Nope. The ACA for example requires people with no financial assets worth protecting to have deductibles they cannot afford. If they have a need for their insurance they will be just as bankrupt as they would if they paid no premiums whatsoever. The provider, will also collect the same for services rendered. $0.

Someone not consuming care is not a free rider. The free riders are those they skip out on the bills. Something the ACA helps people do—not discourages it.

Just checked mine.
I'm getting fricked.
Again.

2013 = $122.00
2017 = $628.37
2018 = $877.47

I will be paying ($877.47) enough to get a $200,000+ mortgage.

Thank you very fricking much to Obama and all his ilk for forcing this down our throats.
Thanks to the GOP for not outright repealing this fricking disaster, you fricks.

Trump nailed it by saying, you have to get hit by a truck to utilize your health insurance.

Which is what insurance is supposed to cover. Unfortunately we have a bunch of shitbag politicians who've fricked up the industry so badly that people use "insurance" to cover check ups, routine Medications, and to cover preexisting conditions.

"Insurance" is no longer the word to describe what we have. Pathetic.
