I should have known Hollywood would ruin Animal Farm and make it woke.

I’ve honestly been expecting for them to do this for since Obama years along with other classics. I’m surprised it took so long. Once the statues started getting torn down I thought it was inevitable.

I’ve asked my nephews and nieces about reading books like animal farm, 1984, atlas shrugs, etc and zero of them have had to read these growing up in school where I and most others had to read the first two by high school.

WTF was Angel Studios thinking when they decided to purchase and distribute this excrement?

Hopefully to limit its reach but I doubt it

as well as watching the gunfight at the OK Corral turned into a celebration of gayness in Tombstone.
That is a funny observation that I never considered before. It provided some great memes though.

No teacher is going to assign Atlas Shrugged. It's a slog of a book to read. But Animal Farm? Every kid should have read it by 9th grade.

Freaking Seth Rogan is the worst. 100% he had a hand in this scene's writing.

If you want to understand just how much Angel Studios is shitting on its guild and you

Take a look at how Napoleon in animal farm farts and calls it the "Sound Of Freedom"

They are literally shitting on Sound of Freedom

You pigs who aren't falling in line will be mocked.

And by pigs, I mean paying customers, aka fans of the original book.

This is unbelievable.

You pigs!

They could’ve limited its reach by not having anything to do with it. No other Hollywood studio wanted to distribute this trash yet Angel apparently tripped over themselves. Maybe they thought the cast would help elevate their brand?

Just awful. Gillette and Bud Light level suicide for this company.

And it still keeps getting worse, if you can believe it.

Summary -

- Angel claim their 'Guild' saw and approved of this movie because it aligns with their values and mission statement to bring authentic content. It doesn't.

- Angel bought out theaters yet no one came, just like how many claim Disney does with its movies. Really in the big leagues now, huh Angel??

I went and saw it yesterday afternoon with my teenage son, but I had warned him before it probably wouldn't be like the book because of the tweaks they made. I had already made him read the book before. It wasn't terrible and the "evil capitalist" angle wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The ulitimate bad guy was Napoleon and the greedy pigs like in the book. I probably wouldn't recommend it for little bitty kids as they won't get the political undertones like a teenager would, which is why it's listed for 11yo & up. I'd give it a C, which is also where some of the critics have put it too, as it's projected to gross around $3mil on the opening weekend.
