“Regrettably, team rider Quinn Simmons made statements online that we feel are divisive, incendiary, and detrimental to the team, professional cycling, its fans, and the positive future we hope to help create for the sport,” the team wrote. “(He) will not be racing for Trek-Segafredo until further notice.”

moving to the area where supporting a president that (~45+% of the country supports) is grounds for removal, is a pretty dangerous area.

i'm not rabidly pro-trump or anything and wouldn't put his sign out to begin with, but it's to the point where i know i would lose friends and my wife would be excommunicated from certain circles if i ever did.

What is incendiary and divisive in saying the word "Bye" to a virtue signaling journalist who was the one being divisive towards her followers.

You answer in the affirmative that you support Trump and that is divisive and incendiary? Wow, I will never buy a Trek.

And this is the correct response.

To be clear, the guy wasn't an employee, as was alleged in the other thread. He was basically a corporate spokesperson...he was a member of a team that is sponsored by Trek. Most of the people bitching about this would defend the rights of a conservative corporation to cut ties with a representative who suddenly went all Colin Kaepernick and pissed off a core group of their customer base.

I can’t imagine why Trump voters are afraid to identify themselves.

My wife has suggested we put three signs up....one on the front 2 corners of the yard and one in the middle pointed at the street so there's little chance to figure out where our support is going.
