I'm not a coward. I have seen close combat on deployments both in Iraq and Afghanistan.

And yet, I'm not inclined to put a Trump sign in my yard for fear of a rock(s) through my window (they're expensive windows) or place a sticker on my 4Runner for fear of having my car keyed and tires slashed. It happens all the time.

I live in San Antonio. Google a political map of Texas and it's a beautiful shade of red except for 4 ugly blue blotches: Travis Co.(Austin) Harris Co. (Houston) Dallas Co. and Bexar Co. (San Antonio).

Last year (Spring 2019) I had a "Support the Blue" sign for SAPD in my front yard. Within a week it was thrashed and spread across my front lawn. I drove down to the local precinct to get another one and three officers gathered at the desk said, "We appreciate it, Sir, but please dont put the sign in your yard; people will vandalize your property." The police asked me not to support them because of the repercussions.

I live in a really good, historic neighborhood - a Republican sanctuary. But I leave my front door and still see Biden+Harris signs across the street, to my left and one household on my right (promising unity love and an end to hate; my eyes roll). And their signs are safe. Because I respect their right to freedom of speech. If my dogs poop in their yard, however, I suddenly can't find my plastic bags.

Now I know there are more Trump supporters in Alamo Heights and San Antonio. But you don't see many yard signs or banners. A few. But their signs mysteriously disappear often.

It really bothers me. I'm proud of Trump. Sure, he's a Yankee blowhard. But I love what he has done for my country, my religion, the economy, his attempts to build the wall, American exceptionalism, his foreign policy, backing out of Kyoto, his efforts for Vets and active duty, his moxy, his guts. He's a warrior like no other President since Reagan. And Teddy Roosevelt before that.

I feel cheated because every time I see another Trump supporter I repress an urge to hug'em. Because I feel like I'm on a desert island. I want to virtue signal to my fellow supporters; encourage my shipmates. But I don't.

Now some of you gutsy supporters may look down on me. But I don't like conflict in public. I was raised being taught is was undignified. I hate Jerry Springer displays - particularly with stupids that scream and talk over you with no "inside voice".

When I'm drinking I'm more quick to be vocal, but that's it. Most Trump supporters whom I meet we go through a series of trading questions; throwing out feelers. Back and forth we go until both parties feel it's safe to admit our beliefs on Trump.

It's almost like the 1st and 2nd Century Christians drawing fish in the sand to confirm they were believers. Maybe not in Helotis or College Station, Texas or any rural county/parishes. But inside City limits many Trump supporters are treated like communists in 1952.

Now, the Lib Biden cult members don't have that problem. They won't shut up... It's like talking to a guy who's a vegan. Within 45 seconds they're telling you they're a vegan and drilling you on your diet and how dare you eat meat. Smile and nod.

I don't mind offending people. What I worry most is the destruction of personal property. You know it happens.

Of course if these ANTIFA/BLM hooligans enter my premises that's another issue. My German roommate, Her Sig Sauer MPX 9MM has no problems with confrontations (best firearm for CQB in home urban defense IMO). "WEAPONS FREE!"

I don't think I'm alone on this, otherwise I wouldn't confess it. Maybe I'm hoping that others like me might draw encouragement that they're not the only ones that struggle with what seems like "living in the shadows".

But one things for certain. I'll be voting straight ticket Republican in November. Just as I have since 1994. Hooyah.

TL;DR? I don't have a Trump sign in my front yard because my house's windows cost me A LOT of money.

I’ve never had a yard sign or bumper sticker. Just not my style. I was on trumps campaign site the other day about to pull the trigger on a shirt and some koozies though.

But if someone asks me if I’m voting for trump I’ll absolutely say yes.

Don’t be afraid. When I ever wear a Trump hat or flag I always get way more positive reactions than negative ones

To be honest, political signs in your yard don't change a person's mind about who to vote for, it just proves who you will vote for.

That's all the sign Trump actually needs from you.

I have no need to show it as I live in an area that will vote 78% for Trump.

Same. I'm not worried about me. I'm worried about my property that these leftist vermin have no problem destroying simply because the owner disagrees with them politically.

I live close to Tulane and I’m sure as shite not advertising Trump. I have no doubt my property or truck would be fricked with. And I have a young kid at home - people on the left are unhinged and I’m not going to do anything to stoke those fires.

I've never been one to share my political opinions publicly to begin with. The only politician I've ever donated money to or put a sign in my yard for was Ron Paul. I voted for Trump and will again but I'm not going to put signs up or wear a MAGA hat or something. I don't need the unwanted attention particularly when I'm out with the wife because it presents an extra threat to our safety and well being.

No. There was a CATO poll and strong liberals were the only group where the majority said they felt free to speak their minds.

Edit: I'm still the FNG in this unit, so I'll hold off on posting Trump bikini girls for now.

I've already rage quit TexAgs because their staff retweeted Kellen Mond's comments about A&M being a racist school and that our beloved Sullivan Ross
statue was racist b/c he was a Confederate General (Ross saved A&M from dissolving and founded Prairie View A&M, an all black University to create opportunitiesfor young blacks. But never mind the facts).

Then a week later after a series of Mond's BLM speeches around campus several old Ags (ages 55 to 70) formed a circle around Sully so the BLM athletes, football and track, couldn't spray paint the statue. They shoved the stately gentleman, cursed them and screamed in their faces.

Jimbo applauded the athletes courage for having character to support their beliefs. He won't win a title at A&M.

TexAgs staff banned anyone who criticizing Mond or the athletes who pushed and shoved the Old Ags.

So I asked TexAgs to delete my account and strike me from their database As did several others. Hence "AggieExile"

Perhaps thousands, possibly 10s of thousands of us Former Students are boycotting games at Kyle, on TV and many hope we lose out. I actually do. With Jimbo, it could happen. Florida was a freak accident.

You speak the story of many many MAGA supporters in liberal cities.

Without a wife and kids and being a public figure I would likely put out a sign. But there is too much personally to lose with property and reputation and sense of safety. Sadly this is the case where I reside. IMO you got to pick your battles wisely.

Now at the lake place in the country? Completely different story. MAGA signs abound and a couple Biden ones too. But there is no climate of destruction or confrontation there.

I have taken this time to strengthen connections around me of like minded people. People you can truly open up to politically and religiously that "get you". Those are special friendships to nurture and provide reciprocal strength from.

I am surrounded by progressives at work and by extension many friends too. But these relationships were stronger and calmer before the last 8 years. Identity politics and Critical Race Theory and a gaslighting media and education system have driven them more left. It seems like those relationships have been frayed more and more recently because the light is shining on just how far apart we are in worldviews.

Hopefully we get back to the pre Obama days with more national unity. Post 911 unity level would be amazing. The only way I see that is MAGA kicking arse and the tent widening. Not sure the Dems have enough introspection and self reflection to let that happen much anymore but I pray we get a chance to find out.

I have a Trump sign in my front yard, but I'm sure I'm okay since I live in a gated community (but now that I think about it so do the McCloskeys)

My opinion - retribution/hate for expressing support of Trump is similar to COVID fear porn. It exists, for sure, and can suck for some caught up in it, but it's way overblown for the 95% of people that live amongst adults and don't give a shite about what happens on social media.

I feel ya podnah -

I live in the Houston suburb of Pearland and would not put a Trump sticker on my car this year at all. But, I have NEVER put a political sticker on any vehicle. I have only put up one yard sign in my life - 2018 for Cruz Senate race.

This year I put up a large Trump flag in my front yard and a smaller sign on the side. I live now in an over-55 gated community - not a sign of wealth, but a means to cut down on meandering traffic. There are no young people here at all.

3 weeks ago 5 Biden signs sprang up on my street on the way to my house - all in a cluster about a block from me. Last week, I took a drive around the whole 600 home community and was relieved that Trump signs greatly outnumbered the Biden signs everywhere but on my street. There are 3 other Trump signs further down on my street.

Driving around in the wider area I find very few signs at all. Most of the signage is for local races.

I am extremely worried

Just vote. I'm not telling Facebook who I'm voting for but Im voting. Trump supporters don't have to be loud. Just do what you're supposed to do.

I don’t want gutless cowards ( the Left ) to key my vehicle. Or worse.
