If a friend starts railing against Trump, I let them know I'm going to vote for Trump. And I told someone in public, when he was being an arse to someone else - it was a way to shut him up.

I wouldn't mention it at work though.

Sounds like we live in the same neighborhood. I'm between Broadway and New Braunfels a few blocks south of the high school. I don't have a sign because my wife doesn't want to be alienated by any of the neighbors.

There are a bunch of Biden signs on my street with only 2 Trump signs. A house a few houses down my street had a single Biden sign, and the neighbor had a single Trump sign. The Trump guy eventually put out a 'no socialism' sign, a large Trump banner on his retaining wall, and a "we are the Storm (republican committee sign)" as close to the street as possible. A few hours later the Biden supporter neighbor, I assume in retaliation, put out an additional Biden sign, an "in this house we believe..." sign and a "Love Trumps Hate" sign.

Doesn't really bother me that there are so many sheep in the neighborhood. With the existing media and social media situations, there isn't much truth out there. But I despise the "Republicans for Biden" people.

a) I am not a soldier, but a sailor.
Tit for tat though.

B) Don't get me started on the Sig Sauer MPX for domestic use.

You see INDOORS an AR15 will not only shoot through your wall, but the studs and aluminum siding. It will shoot through your walls killing whomever is on the other side.

Not a problem. UNLESS your wife or your kids are Oscar mike on the other side of said wall of front yard.

Pop-pop-pop. Bad guy down. But your 10 year old girl whom you told to run next door? A round hits her in t occipital bone and your worst nightmare has just come true.

Same goes for shot guns. They will kill the target. And anyone out of your line of sight immediately behind a wall, a car door, etc. Your boy, your mee-ma, your wife. They're freaking out. You dont have that luxury.

The first time I shot at somebody I was screaming my head off. But you'll also have a bizarre calm as well. Everything gets really, REALLY slow. You can hold three or four plans in your head, run them through and scratch out bad ideas in 2 seconds maybe less. You will be solid. Because you're in Daddy Tiger mode.

AR15s AND SHOTGUNS ARE FOR CLEAR LINE OF SIGHT OR WHEN YOU GIVE ZERO frickS WHO DIES (Spec Ops are different. They train everyday all day all week for years. Friendly Fire is not a word they comprehend.)

Where as the MPX 9mm round will enter and exit the bad guy enter the wall, bounce and not exit the exterior wall. This includes dry wall in your typical home.

Will it make the target jump and spit blood? Sorry. But it has enough power to enter the abdomen and exit the Thoracic region. And a few light squeezes places 10, 11 rounds in at close proximity. Puncture the lungs and he/she drowns in there own blood.

Many selling points but THIS is the major one for the family man. It's so light and easy to handle you can hand it to your wife or 11 year old daughter and say, " get behind the bed. If I don't call out and someone enters the room, shoot until it won't shoot any more."

Then you can grab the AR15 and go hunting for assholes.
(AFTER CALLING 911!)
Most civilians and families understandably have poor communication and situational awareness in a domesticfire fight (which is why you should practice these scenarios before hand).

Disagree with me? Fine. But something we can ALL agree on is a hand gun is a piss poor home defense weapon. They're inaccurate, the dont shoot enough rounds into a charging enemy and they take years of training to become proficient. With all the corners and cuts(your blind spot upon entering a room) you just won't do much good unless your SEAL Team or SF. EVEN SWAT REALITY SHOWS MAKE TONS OF ERRORS. Like looking one way while the sidearm is facing another. Boom, your dead.

Sorry, side track.

Your load out should have a red dot, a flashlight and a suppressor. ALWAYS. Your everyday carry should have the same. Minus the suppressor.

The MPX I have looks similar to this.

Of course, if Biden wins, so sorry Joe, I lost it in a fishing accident. Stuff happens ;)

PS

You're probably an expert and I apologize, but this is a thing I try telling friends who want to buy bazookas to defend their condos, Slow down Cowboy. Go to a range, try everything in their stock and choose a firearm that you can handle. Get a coach to show yo how to handle the gun, how to position your body, your feet and your head. Don't just shoot at stationary targets at the range. Go to a range that forces you to move and shoot.

If anything it's more fun that way. Train for reality and you'll live. Train for shooting a stationary piece of paper and well, good luck.

Serving in the military and touring overseas does not make a person brave.

Especially when that person is afraid of rocks through windows or keyed cars.

I love in an undoubtedly Trump heavy area. No signs.

Some are HOA restrictions.

Most are they don't feel like dealing with the bullshite.

First, I admire the fire in belly.Dont lose that. It's hard to get back once it's gone.

Second, I'm okay with my fear of rocks. My windows set me back $38 grand. Now if $38,000 is a drop in the bucket for you, than let's meet up and start a racing team.

Third, what could you possibly say that would hurt my feelings at this point in my life? I'm a chicken shite? Man that doesn't even move my dial.

It is getting to the point that just having a US Flag in your yard can cause you to receive vandalism. The radical left is branding it that it stands for a country of oppression. Thanks Kaepernick.

I fly 2 large red Trump flags on my truck everyday.

Only time they come off is when my kids are riding with me.

Other than that, 24/7 and people would be shocked with the incredibly positive feedback I get everywhere.

I get thumbs up all day.

I do it to remind people that the wacky arse news people do not speak for America.

The only political sign I've ever had is a Rand Paul sign on the wall in my garage, and I've never been a Kentucky voter.

Advertising for politicians just isn't my thing. Local? Maybe, if I personally know them.

If people want to engage in conversation, great. Let's talk. But I think you have valid reasons for not wanting to put signs in your yard. None of our neighbors have them in theirs.

ETA: Most of us fly American or other patriotic flags. That pretty much says it all these days.
