Correct, plus those children no longer seem to read or broaden their knowledge…

Is a Boomer anyone born before 1970, 1980, or 1990? Let's get the bracket set, please?

Obviously all generational boundaries are "arbitrary", at least to a degree.

However, "the Baby Boom" is generally the generation of Americans (and thus, the world) born immediately after the conclusion of WWII, sometimes arbitrarily at 1/1/1946 (with children born during the years of the war thus deemed part of the prior, "Silent Generation") through sometime in the early/mid 1960s - sometimes set at Kennedy's Assassination, sometimes set at Beatlemania - but generally through 1963, 1964 or, maybe, 1965.

Then, after the Boomers came Gen X - widely accepted to run from the end of the Boom through Reagan (approximately).

Not easy and it shouldn't be. Things worth having are worth WORKING FOR. I didn't walk right into a 160K + job out of high school. Worked minimum wage (3.35/hr), joined the military, stayed 11 years, got good training (electronics and computer networking), attended college at night, left military went to school full-time on GI Bill. Finished Bachelors in Applied Mathematics, Bachelors Information Technology and Masters in Network Security....

As of 2024/2025, they are generally between their early 60s and late 70s.

Today's kids have more and cooler stuff than I had in the 1970s but I wouldn't trade the freedoms afforded by my inattentive parents for all the I-shite in the world.

"Rub some dirt on it."

Amen to that. My video game was 100's of acres of pasture and woods (we only owned 20 of it). Me and my dog "rock" assassinated hundreds of squirrels. They didn't taste like chicken, but they were still pretty good with biscuits and gravy.

Taxpayers paid for your training.

But I bet you don't want the government to pay for anyone else to go to college.

Sounds like you benefited tremendously from government programs and you're fussing at other people because they can't find a job or pay for college.

I had a scholarship that paid for undergrad, so this isn't a personal grievance. I've always been tenacious and high-achieving so I was able to secure a job before graduating from college in 2009. Even during times when I didn't have a full-time "real" job, I had no problem waiting tables or nannying to pay my bills. That doesn't invalidate the struggle and desolation that many others in my generation, and subsequent generations are experiencing.

I’m going to let someone else castigate you over this asinine statement. If you don’t understand the difference…. Shame on you.

Sort of... I was born in 64 and I am not a boomer.

Boomer we're kids from all the vets that came home from WWII and we had a mass of babies born. They went baby boom.

But in WWII my dad was 6... so actually I came from the next generation from WWII and wasn't the kid born from a horney WWII Vet.

SO I fall under dateline, but an actual generation behind.

Your dates are NOT wrong though.

Yep and I earned every bit of it. Went to work every day (many more hours than 20 a week)

IF they join the military sure. If they are too lazy or too cowardly to join, NO.

I'm fussing because people are unwilling to get up and find away. They want someone else to provide and pay.

My point is young people need to quit bitching, put the video game controller down, get up and FIND A WAY or accept that they are just losers. Either way, SHUT UP!

There’s a better argument to cut off the birth year for Boomers at 1957.

True. The original idea of boomers was the high number of WWII soldiers coming home, getting married and having kids. A soldier coming home in 1945 was not waiting 20 years to have a kid in 1965.

Breeding and producing weak cocksuckers like you were our biggest mistake.

We built a great nation, only to have your shite stain of a generation go woke on us.

frick you. The only thing more worthless than your sorry arse generation, are the weak little bastard spawn you produced. The ones cutting off their own dicks.

Blame the previous generation because you don't have the sack to make it on your own.
