I have a 1980 3/4 ton Dodge rigged out as an Army ambulance. I bought it mid-90s with less than 10k miles. Whoopi Goldburg level ugly but it's an unstoppable beast of a truck. If an EMP Doomsday ever comes I might have to walk to Arkansas to get it from the camp because my beautiful wife won't let it live at the house.

Seeing the DTS logo on that picture and seeing the caption of DTS Autosense, all I could think was, "Damn, I know Dolby Atmos is kicking their arse in the home audio codec market but did they really have to move in this direction?"

This is already in pretty much all newer luxury cars. Any care that has some type of self driving featuring has these and they constantly buzz you if you look away from the road.

This was supposed to go into effect next year here in the good old US of A. I think it was snuck in in a Biden era infrastructure bill. Mercedes is already in full compliance with this for the vehicles manufactured here in AL with 2026 models. I think that problems with the tech around the time of passage made full implementation pushed into the early 2030s.

People act like this is some huge invasion of privacy when we currently welcome having cameras and microphones in our phones, TVs, laptops, iPads, and every other digital device we own. Do your kids have video game consoles with cameras? That shite is always watching.
This sounds invasive, and it is, but we already have these tracking devices around us at all times.
