To be fair, to those of us who have a clear understanding of geography, referring to someone as African American is still a head-scratcher.

Alabama Legislator Calls Fellow Legislator “N” Word On State House Floor…. by Toomer Deplorable
Democrat State Rep. Givan cites Jay-Z song to refer to Alabama's lone black GOP lawmaker as an 'N-word' — 'You gon’ always be one when you walk up in here'

Why is this racial slight not a national story? Yep.

You guessed right. She is a Democrat and he is a black Republican.

This is a dumb question. Why are you asking it?

Fine, but that goes both ways. White people should have that same freedom to speak our thoughts and observations. I am sick and tired of hearing that white folk are inherently racist and evil. frick that. We need to start pushing back and be proud white Americans. White lives matter also.

Because every single time a black person uses a racial slur, a white person asks that question. And it's asked as though no one has ever asked it before.

Black people can say what they want about race and they can say it whenever they want to.

Even as a rhetorical question, it's a stale eye roller.

This isn't court. On a discussion board, it's dumb to ask the the same stale, eye rolling rhetorical question over and over again.

We all know why blacks can get away with what they get away with. It's not really a question that makes one think or really ponder things.

Was this a written statement from her? Because it sounds nothing like her speech on the floor. Sounds like someone wrote that for her.

Representative Paschal responds:

"During debate over my bill on parental rights on Tuesday, a member of the House Democrat Caucus repeatedly inferred she was calling me a racial epithet simply because I am a black Republican and a proud, flag-waving conservative…”

“My parents raised me to do as Christ instructed and treat others as you wish to be treated, and it is unfortunate that my colleague from across the aisle was apparently not taught to do the same. I will never be bullied or insulted into apologizing for what I am — a God-fearing conservative and military veteran who believes in the U.S. Constitution and the right of every person to live their lives free from government overreach…."

"This incident is yet another example of the Democrats' nationwide pattern of disrupting the decorum of legislative proceedings…."

"No person should have their race or skin color questioned or attacked simply because they choose to think for themselves, and if a Republican made the same statements, the condemnation from the media would have been swift and permanent…”

So if I used the word I am just expressing my first amendment rights?

Btw... all those lyrics are from the person hired by the NFL to hire Superbowl halftime shows.

I wouldn’t doubt it was Givan who crafted that statement since it is largely one massive straw man argument.

She is dumb as a box of broken door-knobs.
