I am not happy the kid got shot, it is a tragedy
but it looked pretty clear from the beginning that it was a clean shoot
Hoover cops were handcuffed and could not show the evidence from the start; but were THRILLED to show it to the family & their lawyers
this decision to clear the cop was a foregone conclusion
I don't disagree with any of this. I was just confused what your response had to do with what you were responding to.

Now they are already talking civil trial to get some justice for EJ

When they retrieved his gun, it had a round chambered.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office recovered Bradford’s gun – a Glock 19 Gen4 – from the scene. At the time of recovery, there were 14 live rounds in the 15-round magazine and one live round in the chamber. It appears that Bradford chambered a bullet before being shot by the officer.

The family attorney is calling for protests

Bro,
Bham has had a black mayor and police chief for almost as long as I've been alive. We have a vibrant civil rights history that attracts visitors from all over the world. The difference here and some other locations (looking at you Charlottesville and New Orleans) is that no one seems to be trying to beat me about the head with it
Thank God most Alabamians recognized the problems, and moved forward in constructive ways
Hailing our history of dealing with protests literally made me laugh, is all

Hoover will settle it out of court, I'm sure. I hope they don't, but it's probably the cheaper decision so I'm sure they will.

I don't see how that video clears the officer in any way Video looks really strange.
"Next, I observed an armed suspect quickly moving towards the two males standing near the railing. The suspect was advancing on the two males and had a black handgun in his right hand. I fired my duty weapon at the armed suspect to stop him."
Cops being able to legally kill you because they think you are going to commit a crime... is crazy

are you retarded? You have an active shooter situation with one armed individual moving the direction of other armed individuals. Exactly what was the officer supposed to do? Was he supposed to wait until there was a potential second shootout inside JC Penny's? How many bystanders needed to be killed in the crossfire before the officer was justified in blowing his fricking head off? You and this guy's idiot family can scream and howl from now until eternity, but that will never change the fact that he was armed, and moving to engage individuals who had just shot his friend. Better 1 dead dumbass than dozens of dead bystanders who just came to the mall to Christmas shop

I'm shocked you don't see the issue here.
Question: would EJB have been legally justified had he shot and killed the guy who had just shot his friend?

I don't think so. The guy who shot his friend was defending himself from both men, based on the eyewitness testimony that has been reported so far.

IIRC the guy Brown shot was a professional boxer and had smacked the frick out of Brown. He shot him in self defense. Or claims to have.

Eye witness testimony also reported children getting shot.
If a civillian had taken the same shot the officer did from the same location.. would he face charges? Convicted?
I'm not saying the cop should go to jail.. just that it is reprehensible to legally allow the police to kill you based on motive/intent that they assign to you.

How could he know that, in that second? And what's the point of having the gun if he can't pull it when he feels his life is in danger?
You have never attended a CCW class. This I can tell you. You are taught NOT to do this in the class. You may get yourself killed by the police if you do. He is now another teaching point for us law abiding citizens.

Is your issue that the eye witness didn't verify the pulse on the downed 12 year old?
