Video shows Bradford pulled out a gun, and then ran in the direction the initial shooter headed. The officer shot him to eliminate the threat.

The AG released surveillance video also.

Hopefully the folks who are avoiding Hoover over this continue to do so.

The family's lawyer is now trying to make the point that Bradford didn't pull his weapon during the "initial confrontation," like that matters. He DID pull his weapon and had it out and was running TOWARD innocent bystanders.

Wait, I thought having an armed civilian in this situation would always be miraculously good for them.

Weird.

MOAR GUNZ is always the answer...until it's not. The funniest thing to me is the silence from the nra and such when legal gun owners/carriers are gunned down by the police they don't say a word. Not much else violates your 2A more than being killed for doing so

it can be, but when that citizen brandishes a firearm and runs from the scene, it's a different th story

Absolutely. He should definitely have pulled his gun to protect himself, and retreated from the gunfire. Know what he did instead?

Not a crime in the least nor warrants being shot. It's absurd we allow cops to do to civilians what we can't do to them.

He was a threat. He clearly intended to shoot back at the guy who shot his buddy. It's pretty obvious.

ETA: I absolutely see how this was justified, but if we aren't going to give police officers the ability to make these split-second decisions then we should just do away with police forces completely.

The post directly below yours says he should have pulled his gun and run away. You say pulling his gun and running away means he can be shot by police.

I can't imagine why this is a heated topic.

So he should have not pulled his gun and sat quietly on the ground? That sounds counterproductive to carrying in the first place and self-preservation

Agree to disagree. I'm glad folks who don't like Hoover don't live here. I hope this situation causes some of the liberal morons to leave.

Well...the better action altogether would have been not to pull his gun at all, since the threat was over. But if he was going to pull it, he definitely shouldn't have been running at the other shooter, who was clearly fleeing, with the obvious intent of firing on him.
