Something tells me that either some or all of the 3 involved were under the influence of alcohol/drugs.

That gif kills the narrative of just another day of us terrible white people out hunting black people.

Wide open shot to murder him and he didn’t take it. Terrible hunter.

Has it been determined if Arbery had a cell phone on him at time of death?

I got to thinking about what I would do if men with guns were chasing me and trying to detain me...one of the first things I would probably do is try and find a place to hide and call the police on my cell phone.

I’d go with the jogger stereotype for sure. None of those boxes were checked.

I wouldn’t use it as exhibit A to try to kill that narrative. I might use it as exhibit A in trying to get a conviction on Travis McMichaels.

Yea I zoomed in.

That’s pretty devastating for the defendant.

I’ve been consistent and will restate what I’ve said numerous times on this case. Each time I’ve argued that the case will turn on whether or not the gun was pointed at the deceased prior to him charging the defendant and I’ve gone through the process either way from a legal perspective. Now it’s clear to me that the defendant pointed his gun at the deceased.

You cannot do that.

At that point, the defendant is guilty of aggravated assault and the defendant is justified in using self defense, including charging and grabbing the defendant’s gun. With the resultant outcome of that exchange, the defendant is guilty of homicide.

I could use it as exhibit A in killing the false narrative here to shut the big scrub crowd up. You could not use it as exhibit a in the trial as you aren’t the prosecutor.

You knew what I meant.

The defense and the prosecution will likely use that same clip and tell two wildly different stories about it.

I think it was a series of poor decisions.

I think the defendants were frustrated by burglaries in the neighborhood, were suspicious of the deceased, were tired of him walking on to private property, and decided they were going to do something about it. I don’t think they went “hunting” for a black man or even intended to kill him. I think they wanted to intimidate him, to show him they “meant business.”

The deceased should have stopped, not charged the defendant (though within his right), and should have asked someone (a resident, a passerby) to call the cops.

Now one guy is dead and the others are probably going to prison.

Not only that, but Arbery runs the other way.

Finally, the fatal shot was also a deliberate chest shot. McMichael knew it. Didn't even need to look.

I’m not sure about the deliberate chest part. Hard to get deliberate in close contact with a long barrel gun while the other guy is hitting you and the gun.

He clearly looked back though.

This whole sad event is too charged though.

Charging and assaulting a man with a shotgun will not end well for you, as we know.

Why is this being said so often. I can understand once or twice, or even having this opinion early in this thing, but more and more evidence is out there that these guys just murdered him....basically forcing him to engage.

Ahmaud had a wife and she was there during the shooting? That’s news to me.

It actually does. That is what happened at the front of the truck.

I realize that you are likely to confuse this with a justification of the actions.

But, I don't see the defendant pointing a gun prior to the fight. It's pretty clear to me that all of the shots happened during the fight.

They murdered him and it’s just that simple. They had absolutely no right to pursue that dude just because he went into a house under construction. They are going to prison!

I think Arbery is disoriented by the time the video comes into play. He may have been disoriented from the beginning of him leaving the new construction home. If he had run to his left initially rather than his right, he would’ve been to the highway in well under two minutes.

It pretty much doesn’t.
