re: Ahmaud Arbery Case - Georgia Father and Son Arrested/Charged w/Murder

I believe the father was a former cop. He should know the law as it applies to the risk of detaining an individual without just cause. Plus there was a third guy doing video of the incident. Why in the world would you video this incident if you intended on doing an "on-site execution" as some imbeciles on this forum have suggested? That father and son must have had a strong reason to attempt to detain Albery.

UPDATE ON MY POST:

I saw video of the incident. As Ahmaud Arbery approaches the pickup truck from the back (the father is in the bed of the truck) it appears Arbery is going to jog around the left side of the truck. Then in the next video of the incident you see Arbery veer to and comes around the right side of the truck. Arbery then makes a lurching charge towards the son. At this point the son is standing about midway in front of the pickup truck. Clearly Arbery is making a threatening move by charging at the son. In that split second Arbery charges. I would say the distance between the son and Arbery at the moment Arbery initiates his charge to be around 15-20 feet. Arbery has "drawn a bead" on the Son and at almost a full gallop his charge forces the son back.

Then you see a scuffle to the front and left of the pickup truck. Arbery grabs barrel of the shotgun and strikes the son twice and the two scuffle. Then there's a break and you see what appears to be Arbery lying on the pavement in front of the truck. Actually all you see is his feet. Anyway that video doesn't lie.....Arbery initiated that charge.

Incidently the civil rights attorney representing the father of Ahmaud Arbery is demanding George police arrest the man who filmed the shooting. I guess he's frustrated cause that film just blew his oppertunity for a conviction.

That's what I say, the leadup is weird, but the dead feller was a convicted thief, so perhaps the dad did recognize him from a recent crime. Either way, the second he lunged and began fighting for a weapon ole baw was (as far as we know so far) legally carrying, that's assault with a deadly weapon. As much as liberals and colored folk won't like it, if justice is served, these two guys will walk.

What I am interested to see if since the working class is largely off work, how these riots are going to unfold.
