All I need to know about Don Lemon:

quote:

Don Lemon’s Crawfish Étouffée

This recipe works more by feel than by measurements.

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients

1 pound (at least) crawfish tails

Fat and juice from the crawfish

5 tablespoons margarine or unsalted butter

1 pack Cajun étouffée mix

Cream of celery soup (1-2 tablespoons per pound of crawfish)

Cream of shrimp (1-2 tablespoons per pound of crawfish)

Tomato soup (1-2 tablespoons per pound of crawfish)

Cream of mushroom soup (1-2 tablespoons per pound of crawfish)

Splash of seafood stock

Sprinkle of creole seasoning, preferably Tony Chachere’s

1 finely chopped green onion, green tops only

Long grain rice

He's a fake.

Has he ever given commentary on jimmy since those days where they both liked girls jumping on trampolines?

He still claims Jimmy as a "friend" and low-key stuck up for Kimmel when he was pulled from the air. It was a bit disappointing. But other than that he's been solid for years now.

That recipe is uh, different than any ettouffe that I've ever made, but again, for clarification, I probably wouldn't like the taste of semen, either. But I'm assuming his ettouffe is similarly an acquired teste, er, taste.

Here's the rest of the lie...

quote:

If there is one thing that has not changed as this heirloom recipe makes its way through generations of CNN host Don Lemon’s family, it’s that it is passed along by mothers guiding their children through at the stovetop.

Well, it is family. A little teasing may be part of the tradition, too.

“She would fuss at me if I didn’t do it right,” Lemon’s mother, Katherine, said of learning the crawfish étouffée recipe from her own mother.

An "heirloom recipe" with cans of soup and packages of "mix"?

It's just smothered crawfish/shrimp. First, you make a roux, cook the trinity in butter, add herbs and spices, stir in roux and stock, thicken, add the meat, cook until done.

...oh yeah, and put on some rice.

It looks like Lemon's recipe came straight out of River Road Recipes.

It's so fricking wild how different the hosts of The Man Show are today. Corolla is still the same guy pretty much...just older. Kimmel today is the opposite of what he was then.

Probably a situation where Carolla rolls his eyes and laughs about Kimmel's rants, but is there anything for Carolla to gain by going on a podcast and trashing Kimmel in public?

It's not going to change Kimmel's rants/career track if Carolla jumps in and talks about it.

I have heard Carolla talk about Kimmel on multiple occasions. When he explains all that Kimmel did for him early on, I 100% respect his refusal to blast Kimmel publicly. I say that as someone who despises Kimmel completely. Some things trump politics, and I think this is such an occasion.
