I worked with an ex-marine that was active when the laws changed. He said it was a big downturn. Not only did the physical standards lower to let women in, but they where the same for men.

Whome would you rather be your battle buddy? Higher standards or lower? Who do you trust to carry your injured body off the battlefield?

That sounds like the Army Combat Fitness Test.

Having a minimum 2-mile run standard of 21:04...for 17-21 year old MALES is a disgrace.

I don't think that's accurate.

ETA Never mind, I was thinking of the old PT test. That's damn near a fast walk.

Compare the old PT test (15:54 minimum) to the ACFT.

How many women do you know that could carry a 180lb marine to safety if he were injured?

Women have been excluded from militaries around the World for thousands of years for a reason.

In my experience, when female Marines joined us for training, they moved their gear from point A to point B much more easily than the males. The males had to use their muscles and the females just batted their eyes.

Effectiveness has little to do with it, in my opinion. Civilized societies don't send their women to die in combat.

Can't believe anything the current military says as it has been politicized. They already did a studies on females in the USMC and how they had a recruit 7 females to get 1 that would qualify, a huge cost.

They also did one on how the female bone density and structure produces long term injuries for females with the weight they are supposed to carry in combat.

Females aren't made for combat and they shouldn't be allowed to be in the military at all.

The top female finisher would've been top 15 in the male category.

She would be the only woman to show up in the top 28. And it would get considerably worse as the weight increases.

I had 72 Marines in my platoon on my last deployment.
