The Pentagon source said it's referred to as the Tier 1 group.

Dan Caine, USAF General & VIce Chair, Joint Chiefs of Staff
Mike Kurilla, US Army General & Commander, Central Command

Absolutely. The WaPo is basically a publisher of coordinated leaks/media ops.

Rubio must have finally gotten it. Trump just being Trump and he’ll do whatever he has to do to win. I don’t think he really hates any of those folks he talks trash about. Some end up getting it, a lot of others don’t. They get their feelings hurt and go to war with him.

He doesn’t have that much voice with Trump and knows all he has to do is play along for the next couple years and he’s likely the next president.

With or without the names attached, that sounds like a reasonable group of positions to be the inner circle of a president. Was this presented as a negative in WaPo?
