I think it’s more likely that they’re beholden to multinational corporate donors who need more immigrants as our birth rate implodes.

It's kind of the same reason that the Democrats would never codify abortion as law or legalize weed when they had supermajorities. They'd lose all their leverage when it comes to campaigning and the money that pours in for them.

The problem is, they're still thinking the old rules apply. They think the status quo will continue as it always has. They're dead wrong. The modern DNC is going to change all the rules and oust even the opposition they can control once they take power again. Don't think for a second that Agenda 2030 is dead. If we get a President Newsom elected in 2028, it's right back on pace.
