Just let Vance destroy Walz and ride that momentum. It's too high risk to have Trump debate again.

Its so unfortunate what a liability Trump is in this format

This year I have heard the likes of Elon, Vivek, and even RFK articulate MAGA policy magnitudes better than Trump ever could

The country desperately needed a MAGA type movement at this moment in time. Fortunately/unfortunately it came in the form of Tony Soprano. A force of nature with elephantine testicles, yet often with the delivery and reflexes of a total fricking meathead

Any truly fair moderator would have asked this 4 years ago about why two old farts were allowed to run in the first place!

Biden is stuck in the 70's and 80's

Trump is stuck in the 80's and 90's

Once ether hit 65 they should have been phased out and let younger folks in.

Fox debate with Tucker...

Chris Wallace or Megan Kelly has a much higher chance if being on Fox than Tucker.

No way she moves off CBS or ABC...I dont think she would agree to Dana Bash.

I personally feel like debates are almost useless now. It's becoming impossible to find an unbiased moderator that will fact check each side and hold their feet to the fire on a topic. And with all the news and social media it's rare that someone will say something new.

Now, there is always the chance of a legitimate meltdown where a person just shits the bed or starts saying some really crazy stuff that's gonna derail the campaign. But these people are handled so well now that we are just going to get a hour plus of skirting topics and avoiding accountability. JMO

Yes, it would be a high risk, but it would also have a very high reward.
Just don't do it behind enemy lines the next time.

And high risk, low reward for Kamala. Hence, it won't happen.

Harris is just talking bs. She would NEVER, EVER go into a debate without the moderators on her side, and without the questions beforehand....on top of, neutral moderators would hammer her on her positions, which she still refuses to discuss, because she can't. Harris can talk all the bravado she wants, she would NEVER go on Fox. Trump, however, will go anywhere, anytime and answer any and all questions.

The issue is moderators doing their job and actually stressing a real debate

Point
Counterpoint
Rebuttal

Mute when not talking
Mute if you go off topic or give an incomplete answer

Both Camel and Trumpty Dumpty would have been muted most of the debate.

FOX = Ford
MSNBC = Geist
CNN = Blitzer

No way Harris will agree to a debate - she has momentum and doesn’t need it anymore.

Trump freakin’ blew it in his only chance.

Unless there is something unforeseen coming up, she will win. I hate it but Trump is his own worst nightmare. There are at least 5 people who could have won that debate easily AND would do the same things Trump is wanting to do.

Vivek, even acting as a Trump surrogate, would have taken a chainsaw to her. Answers in advance, earpieces, who gives a shite. She may have literally cried onstage

Neutral moderators or that bitch can frick off.

Or they each get to pick an openly biased moderator that will go after the opposing candidate. Trump should today announce that he wants to do a debate moderated by Tucker Carlson and Rachel Maddow.

Trump should not debate again.

He's up and can only lose now.

Make her continue to beg.

She blew her only chance.

Trump has slipped in the past 8 years.
He had plenty of chances for zingers, but never swung.

I think that was a choice. One of the reasons it was close enough for him to lose in 2020 was how bad he did in the debates against Biden. This time everyone said he needed to be calm, cool, and Presidential which I think he accomplished. His issue was letting her goad him into talk about rally attendance during one of, if not, the only immigration questions and not Harris' weakest issue.

Neutral moderators

No such thing. The modern format is not a debate. It's a question and answer format that is slanted toward one candidate. Let them pick their own topics. Each candidate is alotted an alternating 5 min period to say whatever they want to say. One moderator to keep them honest with the time. Or, just go on a Rogan or Dore style podcast.

2 hours (with 10 minute intermission), no moderators on stage, no questions.

There's a list of topics; each side can propose 4-5, and they're shuffled in random order.

The topic is displayed, and the debaters go back and forth, each speaking twice. Who goes first alternates every topic. The only moderation is to cut the mic when time runs out.

These debates need to stop being about and controlled by the moderators, and not just because they're biased. We're electing a president and it's unhelpful and outmoded to have the MSM act as filter between the people and the candidates. Let the people hear them speak, about the issues they (the candidates) think are important to the peopl.

I was thinking something similar, but the candidates both write 5 or 6 questions the other candidate has to answer. The questions aren't provided to anyone until the debate stage.

This lets us see what the candidates think are the most important topics, and it prevents the issue of sharing the questions to one side or the other pre-debate.
