I'd love to see your source for this.

I can assure you no one is falsely documenting vaccination status in patients' charts.

Yes.

fricking logic numbnuts. I have a zero % chance of dying to the vaccine if i never take it. Death is a side effect of the vaccine.

Even if I agreed death was a side effect of the vaccine, you're ignoring the reduction in you probability of dying due to covid.

David loves to focus on the very small group and thinks docs can’t tell the difference of when Covid is the real problem for the patient.

David likes to read the data. Like where the CDC reports that the typical CV19 death involves (on average) 2.9 serious comorbidities.

So when I'm told by you and Dr Stidham that nearly all the CV19 admits today are all about Covid, I'm wondering where the Covid deaths are coming from.

So Dr Tigerskin, what's the mortality rate for a 45 yo healthy/fit person? See, the problem isn't all the questions us non-medical types are asking. The problem is you guys don't have answers to pretty obvious questions.

Haha, he was because as an Auburn fan you know just how biased AL.com is and added it in the middle of his thread.

Ok, from 99.98% to what? How much does it help? to 99.99%???

When you're playing blackjack, do you hit at 20? Neither do I.

99.98% chance of not dying is good enough to me to ignore whatever potential benefits the vaccine brings so that I know where I stand. I have no idea how I'll react to the shot, but why risk it when there's practically no danger anyway?

You already did the math according to your other post. You tell me.

Or you could just admit you didn't even consider that.

That assumes death is the only possibility. Your risk of serious infection and or hospitalization is also greatly reduced if you are vaccinated.

They made a choice.

And they could have caught it from a vaccinated person.

Why don’t people understand this?

He would be counted as a Covid-19 admit. Although this percentage of the total hospital makeup is extremely small.

Okay, so what has happened to all the people without CV19 that would normally be occupying UAB's ICU?

I don't think you need to be vaccinated unless you want to be That goes for anyone btw. But the vaccines are good.

But is the criteria for admittance the same for vaccinated and non-vaccinated? I doubt it.

And do all of the people in the hospital need to be there? Are the hospitals saving their lives? How are they doing that?

Antibodies are outpatient procedures. Oxygen can be given outside of the hospital.
