This is exactly why, when SHTF, we can't trust local officials who will just "follow orders".

Can you notify the Capitol police officers that opened doors and stood by allowing hundreds of people to walk in? I don't think they got that memo.

What is funny about this is they stood by and let cities burn and people die all last summer and even encouraged it in many cases. When Trump wanted the NG to protect those cities and people the Dems refused. But as soon as a group of unarmed people wanted to be heard and scared them a little bit suddenly they want more law enforcement, more LE funding, and everyone that even came close to the Capitol in jail.

That is the key legal question here: were protesters allowed uncontested entry into the Capitol complex by the Capitol Police Force as many eyewitnesses claim?

My sympathy for those who barged in over barricades, climbed walls, etc. is extremely limited. They clearly broke the law and should be held to account for it. I only recently realized that for many, it is not nearly so clear because of exactly what you stated. The cases are not all the same.
