60 Minutes is a shell of its former self.
Hell, I remember when even ABC’s 20/20 used to be a reputable reporting program before the 2000s saw it turn to more sensationalist programming.
2025 60 Minutes LARPing like it’s 1990s 60 Minutes is pretty funny though.

The fact is that it was NEVER judicious or non-biased reporting. You were just too young and trusting to believe that the people you were watching on TV, in the country you loved, would do such a thing. Unfortunately the youth of today have the same problem. They refuse to believe that what they are seeing cannot be true. It is the most subtle and effective method of brainwashing, and unfortunately for us, it is working. Those of us who have seen the light continue to rail against it, but I fear it is too powerful to stop at this point.

I know a guy who got interviewed by 60 Minutes about 20 years ago. I think it had something to do with Verterans Affairs. Anyway, he said after they edited what he had said in about 2 hours of interviews down to 5 minutes, they made it look like he said to opposite of what he was really saying.
They've had an agenda since the inception and most folks didn't realize it until Rush Limbaugh pointed out how biased the main stream media actually is. They truly are the Progaganda Wing of the Democratic Party.

There’s an independent local news source here that everybody with sense uses. Not right or left wing, just factual reporting, which people are starved for.

They did a hack job on the pharma company I worked for at the time, regarding the opiate crisis. This company did not manufacture optiates. This company did not prescribe opiates. This company did not fill prescriptions for opiates. This company ran no advertisements. This company's drug tracking system was built for the FDA/DEA because the regulators had no real tracking system of their own. But they are a rich and powerful company that distributes pharma from manufacturers to pharmacies, a middle man, and had about a trillion in market cap. So sue them and prosecute them to get money out of them. They pick up a shipment of X drug from Pfizer, store it in their warehouse, and fill orders to pharmacies. That's it.
CBS 60 minutes made this company out to look like Pablo Escobar.
I had known their news was slanted, but it was in that moment I realized it wasn't just slanted, it was 100% bullshite.

60 Minutes has been going downhill for decades. Its reputation has taken so many hits over the years it is no longer valid or objective journalism. Go watch the 2000 Michael Mann film The Insider with Al Pacino and Russell Crowe its a great movie and those events took place over 30 years ago.
