When St. Louis first initiated forced busing, they couldn’t conceive that people would move an hour-and-a-half away from their city jobs if it would give their family safety and their kids a better education.
Same shite happened in Baton Rouge
I was lucky to grow up in one of the few urban areas in LA where you could send kids to public school, but even that took some fenagling (the district where I grew up was a pretty ghetto/dangerous school but after the divorce my dad moved south of town. We used his address to go to the good school district).
My mom was a teacher and I grew up going to that ghetto/dangerous school a lot as a kid. I wasn't scared of it, but it was completely inadequate for my educational needs. I hit the ACT high score for that high school in 7th grade.
Then I moved to BR for college and was blown away at the completely different school culture for Baton Rouge/Nola (all private or suburb).

Several speakers criticized Ivey at Thursday’s meeting, and highlighted that suspensions are meted out in disproportionately high numbers to black students.
“Our children are not clowns,” said a local NAACP member. “They are not snot-nosed.” He accused Ivey of using “scare tactics” and “bullying” in pushing for disciplinary clampdowns.
Sure. Blame the sheriff. This is exactly what the article addresses.
quote:
Another speaker said the district should emphasize diversity, equity and inclusion in any new behavior code.
“I would feel more comfortable about the discipline policy if I knew diversity was appreciated in this area,” another district parent said. “And I don’t feel it. My fear is that the practices are inconsistent when I hear about the disparities.”
Insanity - doing the same thing but expecting different results.

NAACP making sure it will always be needed. As long as black people are getting locked up, not getting educated, and not getting ahead, they will always look up to these morons as their saviors.

black parents do not believe white administrators and teachers should have the authority to punish their kids. Also, because their kids are black, they believe they should be allowed to do whatever they want to whatever white person they want with no repercussions.
Just training them for life in the real world.

Desegregation will eventually resegregate naturally. The cries of oppression will eventually fall on deaf ears. You will either make your own way or you won’t. There will be no more funding for a free ride through life.

Great news, America hasn't hit rock bottom yet, but it's getting nearer, and moving faster..
The aloof and the morons will not awaken until brought to the precipice..nor find the true will to change until facing full ruination.
Let it all burn.

Maybe they should just punish the kids that misbehave and ignore skin color.
I’ve never read a more brazenly racist suggestion…..lol

Hire a diverse private security firm to come in and start dragging the problem children out of the classroom. Come to understanding of proper conduct or toss on the street and do not allow access back on campus.
The parents complaining about diversity are the ones that have failed at raising their child properly in the first place.
I saw somewhere oversees, maybe Europe, they were sending fines to parents for children for second offense and beyond at school.

I’m a little surprised this is in Brevard. Must be a few select schools.

If it’s like the rest of the country, discipline is a shitshow everywhere.
Missouri has a great retirement plan for its teachers. It’s so good, it almost locks a teacher into teaching once they’re in for ~10 years. There’s still teachers quitting in droves.

These dumbarse administrator types with zero classroom experience are the ones who argue for this stupid shite
And they wonder why teachers are leaving the profession in droves when they can work in much better environments for the same if not probably better pay

And there it is. This is why blacks are and will remain on the Dimocrat Plantation.

GF (no pics ) is an elementary art teacher in Orange County … next to Brevard … think Orlando and special needs kids are impossible… they do all of that and cannot be punished. Of course every bad kid is now “special needs”
