50 shell-shocked teachers, staff flee chaotic Florida school district
Violent and disrespectful classroom behavior has led to a staggering 50 teachers and bus drivers to quit a Florida school district in the last two years.
Brevard County School District, the state’s 10th-largest, held a heated meeting Thursday that offered an unvarnished and often disturbing glimpse into the state of its classrooms.
“On an everyday basis I am deflecting being attacked, scratched, headbutted, pushed, hit,” teacher Alicia Kelderhouse said as her voice choked with emotion. “I’ve had my hair pulled, and pulled down to the ground. I’ve had my throat gone for on multiple occasions. It’s on an everyday basis right now.”
Kelderhouse said staffers often commiserate in the morning to muster the courage to face the day — and that frightened kids are grappling with the same fears.
“I have students who are afraid every day in the classroom,” she said. “It’s just not fair to them. That’s what hurts my heart the most.”
--------------------
“As a result, we are losing teachers en masse,” he said, calling disruptive students “clowns” who are impeding the education of their classmates.
Several speakers criticized Ivey at Thursday’s meeting, and highlighted that suspensions are meted out in disproportionately high numbers to black students.
“Our children are not clowns,” said a local NAACP member. “They are not snot-nosed.” He accused Ivey of using “scare tactics” and “bullying” in pushing for disciplinary clampdowns.
Another speaker said the district should emphasize diversity, equity and inclusion in any new behavior code.
“I would feel more comfortable about the discipline policy if I knew diversity was appreciated in this area,” another district parent said. “And I don’t feel it. My fear is that the practices are inconsistent when I hear about the disparities.”

Maybe they should just punish the kids that misbehave and ignore skin color.

Translated: black parents do not believe white administrators and teachers should have the authority to punish their kids. Also, because their kids are black, they believe they should be allowed to do whatever they want to whatever white person they want with no repercussions.

Kids are busy throwing away an opportunity at education for themselves and those around them and all people care about is their skin color.
This is progress?

Offspring of Democrats in action.

This is on Obama; this was his pet project to stop punishing assholes in the classroom

if desantis would pass a law that allowed teachers to protect themselves, i.e. drop kick some of these shitheads, they'd all be better off.

Some of this nonsense goes right along with an ad for a podcast I heard the other day. I was streaming Christmas music and an ad for a podcast came on touting digging into the problem with public education.
Their breakthrough was the “problem” was white parents.
We live in insane times.

That speaker is a fricking moron. Pushing those as excuses for not disciplining bad students (because so many happen to be black, for example) is why the school system is in such shitty shape that teachers are afraid to go into the classroom.
fricking clown world.

Blacks commit a vastly disproportionate amount of violent crimes (especially homicides). Why does he think black children wouldn't emulate in school the role models they are seeing in their communities?
Because he's a shill paid to downplay/ignore it, that's why.

This is what happens when parents use their kids as a paycheck and public education as a free daycare center and meal provider.

It’s a war zone out there. My wife is a special needs teacher. While I understand these kids are just thugs and special needs is different, she has come home this year with scratches bleeding on her face, neck, and arms, bite marks, bruises, ripped out hair, and countless bodily fluid stains. She just bought over $1,000 in protective equipment.
This spurned me to ask her, “At what point are there consequences for these actions?”
She showed me their conduct code, and I shite you not, it reads as follows, “Under no circumstances should a teacher use force to defend themself. They should assume a protective position until help arrives.” Then she went on to explain that unless the child puts her “in a condition requiring overnight hospitalization” can anything be done to the child.
I’m doing everything I can to get her out of that. What in the actual frick.

There are many black kids being victimized by these idiots as well.

This is how shitholes are born.
You’re witnessing the birth of one.

I've never heard a prominent black person speak out against anything like ghetto culture. I assume they're just fine with it, for the most part.
God forbid they do something that is "too white", like being good students and respecting authority figures.
