I grew up in New Orleans in a mostly black neighborhood until moving to Shreveport, which was approximately a 50'/50 neighborhood. In the 70s the vast majority of the dad's worked, there may have been a "thug" or 2 but most of the black kids focused on sports, school, etc, and this was the decade it was starting to fall apart. Sure many danced and sang also. Step 5 can't be done until Steps 1-4 get implemented and then it would still take decades. Media has black people now believing street life and gangster rap is their culture and being loud and unpredictable is in their culture. Of the I'd guess to say 200 black people in my senior class, there may have been 4-5 that acted like that and were always in trouble. That number would be probably closer to 100 now. I'ts not their "culture" it's what media, white liberals, and now rap over the last 30-40 years has been telling them. And yes, I know there were "gangs" in the 60s and 70s. Watch his video and you can read between the lines on why that was.

The worst thing for black people has been white left-wing politics for the last 50 to 60 years.

The government has made policies to disenfranchise and harm blacks since forever: destroying their housing, preventing them from acquiring new, decent housing, refusing to build new housing to replace the housing the government destroyed, preventing them from working decent jobs, etc. etc.

These policies were bi-partisan. It had/has nothing to do with votes, imo.

Since Lyndon Johnson, a democrat, is, "since forever."
