Why are we letting them keep dragging this out. Blockade and bomb. Bring them to their knees faster.

TACO

Trump is content to let this situation continue in perpetuity and the price of oil won't drop below $90 for probably the next 8 months+ at this point.

It’s the inverse TACO. He saw SOXL tanking and decided to take evasive action.

He’s even gonna frustrate the leftists into saying, “just do it already!”

It’s gonna be a Democrat landslide in November.

What an idiot Trump is. War should have been over a month ago with the US controlling the Strait. Instead you got $5+ gas everywhere.

Trump cares more about the stock market than Main Street. And it’s Main Street that votes.

Instead of finishing this thing up and not having this ceasefire we’ve drug it out deep into the Spring.

We don’t win wars anymore. We fold like a cheap suit and lose them.

Yeah I agree. It's time to put up or shut up.

Iran is content to keep Trump on the ropes till November.

So is China.

Yeah, growing disappointment in Trump for this, and I am a full supporter.

I'm fine with it --- As long as we aren't giving the IRGC any advantage (but I fear we are) as we continue to strangle their economy. I understand Kharg Island storage is now > 85% full... good.

The thing is, even when we had Project Freedom, we really only had a couple of U.S. flagged merchant ships take advantage.

If the rest of the world is fine anchored in The Strait, why should we care.

None of us have enough information to make truly educated opinions, including me.

But my guess is that Trump knows or believes the rest of the world is hurting more than we are, and he is waiting for them to start caving and to join what will be an ongoing "coalition" of sorts against any future Iranian aggression and nuke building ability.

Like in poker, you have to play your opponent's hand as hard as you play your own.

Other than that reasoning, I tend to be in the camp with those who just want to get it on and force Iran's hand via the military. If that can be done. Unfortunately, none of know if that's possible.

I believe it was definitely an option to "not start this shite". But I believe it would not have been a wise choice.

Trump did more damage to the IRGC last week in Beijing than he would if he started bombing again this week.

Bond yields were rising which is when Bessent becomes concerned. I think they are trying to get bond yields down. If he is going to order an attack it is likely going to be Friday after the market closes and the market is closed Monday for Memorial Day. That would give 3 days m for the market to prepare.

I'll confidently state this about Trump; he is determined to eek out every last drop of opportunity to avoid killing people, but when push comes to shove, he is bold and decisive.
