Disgusting. It amazes me that nothing is being done about this epidemic.

They need to be vaccinated!!!!

Because people don't know what good health is or how important it is. Doctors don't tell people how to eat right. The food pyramid is upside down and healthcare doesn't give a shite about health.

It’s probably more than that, it’s VIDEO GAMES. It’s really not complicated

Mehhh its parenting. I grew up in 90s. Had every video game console, played every night and have never been close to obese. Thats the thing, parents let me plat AT NIGHT. During the day, we was sent outside to play. Come in at dark, shower eat, play your games. Parenting is the problem, not video games in general

Too many people too lazy or too scared of injury to play a sport. Physical education is a joke also. Life is easy and people are fat and happy.

This will lead to 1000s of deaths.
Shutting down sports.
Shutting down schools (PE class and recess)
Horrible, shortsighted decision.

We always had the fat kid play catcher in little league. What do they do with half a team full of catchers?

Momma kid us out of the house during the day and told us to be home before it got dark for dinner.

Because America is a fat arse nation with parents who indulge their children with food. People are “medicating” themselves “their feelings” with food and parents are doing the same to their children.
People cook less at home. They buy fast food, takeout, processed food, ready to eat and stuff their kids with the crap.
A parent with a mental hangup with food, who eats to feel better, for self comfort, to replace something missing, for fulfillment, to fill a need, etc, projects those personal issues onto the child. They also let kids eat what they want instead of what they need.
Also, people, especially kids, are exercising less and less.

Exactly. Even when I didn't have friends or cousins to play with, I invented a way to simulate football and basketball games by myself, and probably ran 5 miles daily during summers.
And I still knocked out Mike Tyson and cried with joy.

Lots of "stocky" first basemen. If you know what I mean.

Oh, and the respect fat movement doesn’t help.

I can’t fathom that but it makes sense. I’ve never seen as many fatasses in my life.

My daughter is 11. There are at least two 200-pounders (girls) in her 6th grade class.
