To be honest we seem to be heading in that direction where I am. The wait time for an appointment is around 4-6 months unless you get lucky and there is a cancelation. I don't know if it's people catching up from putting it off because of Covid or if it's a shortage of dentists in my hometown but the wait times are much longer now
I called in July to schedule to schedule a cleaning in Denham Spgs bf my daughter started school. The soonest appt they had was first week of December.

It’s about $70-80 a general cleaning. I know, I lived there nearly a decade. However, the process is not very thorough as it is here.
Hell, I’d probably go with private.
Sounds like private dentists could make bank in some of the unserved areas if they could find a creative way to get people to abandon the precious NHS.

It’s in Vermont. Probably the most progressive state in this nation. Let them live by their own Political beliefs and suffer the consequences.

Couple of years ago I was flying to Ireland on a trip. Sat right next to an Irish fella who was a dentist. His breath smelled like a sewer.
8 hour flight. Torture.

I’ve joked about that a lot.
They’re only famous for their beer.

That is what happens when you put government in charge of health care.
But the United States of America will not rest until we have National Health Care right here !!

This is reminiscent of ancient times when people went to the barber or some other quack in town to have their teeth pulled.
Oh Britannia, where art thou?!?!

Do they have subsidized dentistry?

It’s only private. Dentistry is not offered by NHS

So what else is new?
I mean it's not a secret that "free government healthcare" is only "affordable" because the government radically cuts things like doctors and services and hours. It's permanent rationing.
