Yes, humans ALWAYS base their behavior on logic. OP says it’s being reported by other sources, as well. Do you have any contradictory evidence?

Go from one religious extreme to the other

Christians were there centuries before the Muslims showed up.
It's amazing how much Christianity expands and Islam contracts when people are no longer forced to be Muslim at the edge of the sword.

Imagine this being your church's outreach mission to help build... I'd be in.

I don't believe either of those statistics, not for a single second.

The 50k/75k mosque closure figure is accurate, per repeated admissions by Iranian officials & clerics (2023-2025): low attendance, lack of imams, politicization.
Christian conversions: A 2020 secular GAMAAN survey + org estimates (Elam, Open Doors) put Muslim-background believers at 500k-1M+ (some say up to 3M), underground & growing fast despite risks. Link isn't proven causation—many also turn secular/Zoroastrian—but trend holds in reports. Hard numbers tough in closed society.

Articles I have read says that Pentecostals are the fastest growing Christian denomination in Iran.
So basically Christian, but still close to Islam. Just no bombs...and whorey women on Friday and Saturday nights if they are the same as the Pentacostals where I grew up.

Why do people think Christianity is growing so fast there?
Some people say it's a reaction to the state mandated Islam being shoved down the citizenry's throat.
There are also widespread reports of many people claiming to have been visited by Christ in dreams.

This is an improvement but isn't that insane. Iran has 93M people
The absolute max end (3M) is 3.2% of the population, which isn't outside historical norms.

Because it’s ridiculous propaganda
It is widely known that Christianity is on the rise there. Now, have that many Mosques closed their doors, I seriously doubt it.

Like American Pentecostals? I guess the views on women aren't changing much

Of course what? Was that not a pertinent update to the thread?

That's been a default setting of Iran since the 7th century. So what about the other 1300 years?

Surprised it ain't Mormon. Them Mormons send their kids everywhere on mission. If trends still hold, most Mormons should be Hispanic by now or shortly in the future. They loved them missions to south and central America.

You'd have to ask the people who say that.
I made it clear that I was only reporting viewpoints, not endorsing them.

Pretty much all of these threads/X posts are just repeating that survey. A single source.

The gospel is powerful, that's why. The post didn't say they started converting in the last few weeks. Christianity actually flourishes under persecution. It's when its members get fat and happy is when it wanes.
