No one here is idolizing him which is the go-to you idiots like to make when someone says anything about a foreign leader outside of Zelensky.
We are just admitting that this was one of the worst foreign policy moves in the last 40 years and that is saying something. We have an absolute shite record when it comes to nation-building but this failed more than just Libya. The failures are still far-reaching 11 years later.

The main reason he was killed is because he was pushing for a new currency for the African continent called the gold dinar. In other words, he was pushing to no longer use the petrodollar (Just as Putin and the BRICS nations are going today.). Zio bankers weren’t having it.
