Friend of my wife text us this pic today of her friend. Word is that the gun went off and shot himself in the arm. Pearl River area. Med vac to hospital this morning.
Sorry I do not have more details. None the less be safe. It is the little things that will get you.
------------
UPDATE from Tigah D on page 2:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guys I was pickin up my boat at the ramp when this fella and his friend came rolling up fast asking for a tourniquet. Another guy there had a bungee cord handy so gave them that and they'd already called ambulance. They told us they were packing up their hunt (ducks) and unloading the guns when one went off unexpectedly. Wasn't clear which guys' gun it was in the little bit I talked to them. I'm not one for the blood so only gave it a glance in person and quickly scrolled by the pic haha. Medics had him squared away and hauled off about 15 mins after arriving at launch. Be careful out there!!

That's why I always carry duct tape.

Hope his arm survived.

I'd probably have to get the dog to trail him. Arm/leg shots are tough

Some of that curled up stuff looks like it might be important.

Hope he comes out OK.

Serious question. Can your arm ever function the same after that kind of damage?
