Which can also be fun as frick. Trout fishing isn't my favorite, but I do enjoy it. I like switching gears sometimes from fresh to salt water, although my boat isn't exactly built to "chase the birds".

the offshore guys laugh at your cute little speckled trout. We use bait bigger than that

Definitely more fun to catch. Agree to disagree on better eating part, though I do love redfish.

Sorry you can't catch any trout.

Seriously though, sure, sometimes they can be stacked up, but they can also be some finicky bastards that are hard to find sometimes. If you've never caught a decent sized trout and seen that yellow mouth and gills flare above the water, then I guess I see your issue. Redfish are fun, but they're also really stupid and will eat a white dog turd on a hook.

The only thing challenging about offshore fishing is paying the bill

Easy. We know how to cook them.

OP you could always blow yourself up in an empty lot if it bothers you that bad. I’ll even sacrifice myself and stand next to you for the good of The Outdoor Board

To me...... they are better eating than a White Perch, and still really fun to catch.

First of all, 90 % of the guys going out there probably catch 0 to 5 trout per trip. There is a lot of knowledge and skill involved in fishing as well as the ability to navigate. 14 to 15 inch specks put up a decent fight.
