Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but man, you're smoking crack if you think any type of bass tastes better than speckled trout.

A 10-12” bass filet has a fraction of the fishy taste a speck does.

Let’s just discuss the bay snapper. There is not a better eating fish in our coastal marshes than a sheepshead

Maybe flounder, but we wouldn’t know because commercial fishing has killed them all

Redfish are fun, but they're also really stupid and will eat a white dog turd on a hook.

Yeah, I have to decide all the time if I'm going to hit the marsh for trout or take the bay rig for mahi, snapper, trigger fish, halibut, tuna, grouper, amberjack, etc.

What the hell are you doing with your trout?? Throwing them in the bottom of the boat to roast in the sun, then tossing in cooler with no ice and leaving to lay on dirty table after fileting?

outlawing bow fishing would be ideal

eta: it is fun though, but surely detrimental to the fishery

Such a hate for bowfishing on this board. I'm assuming it's mainly directed at the charter guys shooting 25-30 reds a night and not the casual bowfishermen like myself that makes 15 trips a year.

Yeah I’m more concerned about the guys doing it every night, but that’s for another conversation. 15 trips a year isn’t very casual though

Didn’t you hear? The OB hates all charter guys unless it’s one of their baws.

What a load of horse shite. OB promotes charters and charter capts all the time.

We do rail on the ones who switch capt's, show up late, or don't show up at all and for good reason
