A few years ago I built a 24x40 shed off of one of my existing shop buildings. Whole shed cost me $7k and it stores my 5th wheel and my boat great. Threw gravel down with the tractor and no problems.

And ran a 50 amp outlet so I can use the 5th wheel as needed.

Every single rental unit in the Houma/Thibodaux area is 90% or more full. I've called EVERY SINGLE storage unit that is advertised, Google, Facebook etc.

Most have waiting list that are 2-3 people deep. I've been on the waiting list 1/2 mile from my house for over 2 years for a 15/50.

Dallas - 180 per month for covered with electric. Lot of RV/boat storage places up here. Price goes up if you are closer to a lake.

That is pretty good, actually amazing for that price.

Yeah, you can tell I am old from the car payment for 350. I am running my paid off vehicles until the wheels fall off.

I was paying $300+ a month in Houma back in 2015 for a 15x40 enclosed storage to keep my 27 worldcat. Was a deciding factor for selling the boat only had room for either the boat or the 5th wheel at home and the camper won in the end with the wife.

I would die for that price. You guys need to come on down here and see what you will pay for boat storage.

That doesn't surprise me at all. I would bet most of those are 400-500/month now too.

I would love for Benny to build a dry stack marina at Coco Marina. Or rent boat lifts somewhere down there.

That said, there's not a tree with in 200 yards, so my boat stays clean

Not a lot of trees but I have a custom cover so the cover looks like shite but the boat is good

I'm in an HOA and besides my backyard isn't big enough bc of the way it's laid out

Recently moved to HOA neighborhood. Shocked that storage is $300+/month for my duck boat. 30' covered but in the center of town and near the house.

24ft CC with TTop. $400/mo in Pensacola. On a rack under a bridge so its shaded for most of the day. I think non-shaded it would be $360/mo.

Any idiot that’ll pay $80k for a bass boat so he can win $200 in a week nighter will pay storage. Actually prob doesn’t even research until boat is purchased then is stuck.

Check out Longhorn Storage on 620 (orange buildings). Most affordable and electricity. Close to Mansfield and Quinlan ramps.

Personally, I would not buy a boat if I couldn’t keep it at my house.

Because it’s a luxury item. At least that’s my thought anyway.

One cool perk that some folks get is that you can let the storage folks know you plan to come to the lake, and they'll put the boat in the water and have it at the dock for you.

Problem is, I'd bet that 99% of boat owners take their boat out 1-2x per year, max. What a racket. 120-month note on a $300k wake boat, $400/mo to store it... and they can never take it out because Braxxtyn has travel ball 58 weekends per year.
