Anyone in Areas 9, 6, and 4 noticing a lot less deer sightings so far this season? Friends and I have property in each of these areas and we are simply not seeing deer like we normally do during October. I know a lot of it has to do with the storm and high water, but just curious what other hunters are noticing out there so far this season.

2 of 'em are in my freezer.

Are you hunting food plots, feeders, natural feed sources, or funnels/travel corridors? I'm not finding many acorns on the ground but I've had good luck hunting funnels.

Our property in area 6 is because of the Hog problem. Earlier in Aug-Sept we had nice bucks on camera now in Oct only pigs.

They all got carried away by mosquitos. Or, they are laying in the flat water to get away from them and deer flies. It's hot bruh!!!!

Ours don’t mess around during the daytime because of the damn pterodactyl sized skeeters we are seeing. Don’t blame them either.

I guess with food everywhere at this time, it's really about locating the trails they frequent from bedding areas. I havent seen anything recently but im just getting into the public land game.

I’m in Amite CO and tons of acorns on the ground. They don’t have to move too much right now.

Best year I've had in zone 8 for activity.

They been nocturnal with the full moon.

Next couple weekends should be good.

They must have all moved to Ohio.

It used to be a big deal to get a deer in Ohio, very few doe permits were issued.

Now you have to keep your head on a swivel to avoid hitting them.

Anyone seeing rut action in Area 9 or 4? Very unusual for us to not see any bucks chasing or find scrapes by this point.
