I’ve never heard anyone associate jeep with dependability

They are way more reliable than most give credit for. Owned by many females that don’t know what maintenance is or bubba that beats them against rocks.

1st gen tundra was the perfect truck with the 4.7 v8

I love my 2016 Tundra. Bad mpg and low tech but it’s solid and definitely not junk.
As to the OP, there are only four brands and it seems they all have their problems. If I had to guess, just in terms of reliability, the brand matters less than the options and type of drivetrain. I bet the most reliable ones would be any model with a naturally aspirated V8, with the fewest electronics, and no AFM. So I suppose the V8 F150 without the needless bullshite like sunroof and electric tailgate etc.

Love my second gen titan. Bad mpg. Lower tech (did add a tesla stype screen because of that). Only fluid changes at over 200k miles.
Flash tuned. It is faster than all but the 3.5 ecoboost at this point. Mainly just pulled all the transmission safeties out. If you dont they are limited on power until 30mph or so.
Dead reliable truck. No cylinder ahutt off. Fully counterweighted forged crank.

Last half ton I bought was in 2001. Single cab swb, off road package, sport package, 360 with 410 gears. I wish I still had this truck.

I'll knock on wood then because I have a 09 silverado w/123k miles and a 16 colorado w/149k miles. Neither has had any real issues. In fact, my silverado just had its first break job at 122k miles.

I have the non hybrid and there's def a difference between ECO and sport mode.
I also like how it's only turning 1800 RPMs at around 78 mph

Just get the Ram HO Hurricane. You’ll be happy.

walk into a mechanic bay and shout "THE 3.6 PENSTAR IS A SOLID AND RELIABLE ENGINE"
They'll either throw a socket in your face or die laughing.

Currently have 2 jeeps with 3.6. 1. 2014 240,000 miles on it developed tick at 238,000 still going all original driveline. 2. 2022 gladiator 136,000 miles pulls a 21 ft bay boat 3 hrs regularly and is used as a woods trucks, all original driveline. Had a 2016 2dr rubicon, sunk in a creek at 38,000 miles sold it running all original driveline at 110,000 miles to buy a house. Millions of 3.6 floating around if only 1% has issues it appears much worse than it is.

Oh, Car Play is going away too. I should have been more clear.
I’ve heard that you can use Car Play but with a monthly subscription.

are you under the impression that there aren't millions each of Ford, GM, and Toyota's flagship engines floating around too? Somehow the 3.6 is on every mechanic's shitlist.
Even if there is a 90% chance your 3.6 won't eat rocker arm bearings, a 10% chance it will is still horrendous.
Its funny when I hear from people who own a 3.6 that haven't had a catastrophic failure act like since they haven't experienced it then the engine must be "actually quite great."
