What’s your obtainable bucket list hunt?

When I mean obtainable, I mean realistic hunts anywhere in the world that you could afford to go on. For example, I would love to go kill a Stone Sheep but realistically I’m never gonna go drop 50k on that hunt so therefore it’s out.

I think for me it’s a combo Caribou/Sitka Blacktail/Sea Duck Hunt on Kodiak Island. Completely doable at a reasonable cost considering the amount of animals you could tag in one of the most amazing environments in the world. Plenty of outfits that offer the combo to choose from. I’m hoping I can knock it out within the next 20 yrs. Just a matter of finding the right year to do it with the birth of kids starting for me.

I think 2nd might be an Africa trip to Namibia/South Africa where you can kill like 20 animals for 10k. I’m just naturally drawn more to North American species, putting this trip a notch below Alaska.

I was lucky enough to do mine already, trip of a lifetime, did a 10 day float in Alaska hunting and fishing, had tags for moose, brown and black bear and caribou, only killed one animal but it was a Boone and Crockett Bull moose, pretty much any other hunt I go on for now on is just gravy, but I would like to go to Argentina for ducks and doves, have no desire to go to africa

Mine are all DIY. I'd rather fail on my own than succeed with a paid guide. I'm going to Wyoming for pronghorn next year and have plans for elk and mule deer. Want to do a black bear hunt as well but not sure if I could pull the trigger on one of those cute bastards.

I’d like to take a Montana grizzly with my grandfather’s knife.

Elk some where, moose in Alaska, and maybe something in Australia or Alaska.

Also wouldn’t mind a helicopter pig hunt.

Argentina dove hunt. Wish I had done it 5 years ago when my dad would of still been up for it!

Both of mine have already been mentioned.
As a child growing up my dad ALWAYS talked about going to Argentina to dove hunt. So naturally that was my bucket list hunt. It doesn’t seem that he’ll ever be able to afford to go and I certainly can’t afford his trip and mine but I’ve always wanted to go.
Second would be Saskatchewan deer hunting. The deer there are just ungodly big bodied. I’d love to shoot one and have it on my wall.
I will do both.

Elk Hunt anywhere but Colorado.
Duck/Goose Hunt in Canada.

Probably a moose/fishing trip in Alaska.

What does a 10 day moose float trip cost.

Ive knocked a few off the list already:
170” bow kill public land KS
Cutthroat trout in Yellowstone

Still looking for:
Bow elk
Antelope rifle or bow
Mule deer bow
Turkey in every state (16 so far)

All mine are very financially obtainable but in the last 2 years TOPC jr has come into play. He is getting a MO lease for his 10th birthday and bringing a friend

I did myself a favor and never added it all up but it was not cheap and the “extras” ended up costing as much as the “fee”

Antelope, black bear, mule deer, elk.

I’ve been buying points for a few years and it’s getting close to time to start applying

better research your africa trip carefully i looked at three and the fine print reveals that each animal had a trophy fee, add the mounting fees and the transportation back to the states and just taking two small animals and one good one will at least triple your costs

I tried for 8 years to draw a Wyoming pronghorn tag back in the 1990’s when I was traveling regularly for work, never got pulled. Granted, I was always putting in for the top areas and stayed close to where my work was. Really wanted that. Dream hunt is to take my two boys on an upper flyway waterfowl hunt, where we see a lot of birds and get to pop a lot of caps. Pheasant hunting availability would be a bonus. Feel free to post ideas on where and when.
