When did you hear they are raising the size to 15"? That is going to hurt big time. I am all for lowering the limit to 15.

Maybe it will help crack down on the guys blatantly breaking the law and nothing happening to them. Looking at you Hopedale Marina.

if this is about making speck limits 15 state wide

the speck populations now are healthier and larger then they have been for 25 years so no, you cant reduce limits for absolutely no reason at all, just because we had back to back freezes that caused small speck populations for a couple of years

the stupidity of people who cant catch fish wanting to prevent others from catching fish out of pure jealousy is ridiculous and comical

just like man made global warming, this false claim of specks need protecting is all a lie and its just normal weather related fluctuations that happen all the time

I talked to a wildlife agent in dularge earlier this winter. He said that a change is coming but it isnt set on what the changes will be. Some legislation/meetings still need to happen so it may be 2021.
That's all I have so dont shoot the messenger.

They could just enforce the rules now. A lot of people with “limits” have a box full of 11” trout.

If there is a couple questionable ones that's kne thing. shite that blows my mind is the guys coming in WAY over the limit and cleaning in front of everyone at the tables. Hell they even take pictures and put then on company websites.

shite gets me contemplating snitching.

You have any research to back up your claims?

How often do people catch 25 trout? The answer is not often for majority of the year, so dropping the bag limit doesn’t seem like it would do much.

I think (I am no expert) that you are probably right but increasing the size limit might help trout have a chance to have more reproductive years. I would not mind seeing a slot on trout.

I have several pictures like this, but what you are not understanding is sometimes there are 5-6 boats with 3-4 guys each for that picture of 200 specks.

15 trout per person, No size limit.

None of them would be over 12" for me, and I wouldn't be killing half of the throwbacks. The larger fish would still be there to breed. And I could save on sunscreen.

I’d be down for that. I prefer to eat 12-13” trout. Threw back a 24.5”/5 lb on Christmas Eve. No desire to kill or eat that big girl.
