Yamahas suffer electrical issues unless you get the big bear with the stainless connections.
Kawasaki has weak parts but a damn fine motor.
Polaris is top notch.
Canam is probably your best bet if you can afford it.
Honda has a lifetime of dependability but are underpowered compared to other brands in the same cc class
Suzuki has good dependability, decent power, but their technology is just now starting to catch up with the other big names.

I have a Honda Foreman and if it got stolen today I'd buy another one in a heartbeat. Badass machine.

my old polaris 500's that go clickety clack have been hard to beat..

Just depends on what to do with it. Cannot go wrong with a Honda anything but the solid rear axle models (though bulletproof) lack much ground clearance so not the greatest of mudders. I'd avoid the belts n such some brands are using for drivetrain. 2007 Honda Foreman for me.

I have always been a Honda fan. My last was a grizzly and won't buy another. If I was buying today it would be either a can am or a polaris. Prob a can am. Them suckas are bad.

If I was looking for a new machine right now, I'd buy another Polaris.

honda foreman.
I use mine to pull out the polaris, kawasaki, yamaha, and cam-ams that get stuck.
The only issue I had was with the solid rear axle never got stuck only high centered, fixed that with a swap to an independent suspension system.

Polaris sportsman ftw. Honda is a good machine but not a snowball chance in hell I but it over a sportsman.
I love my sportsman. Don't regret buying it at all. I would have to find one hell of a smoking deal to buy anything else.

I just plan on doing some trail riding, a little mudding and riding it out to a deer stand. No hardcore riding or mudding. I don't want to spend more than $9-10K.
Look at the Stealth Electrics..they are the future..

Polaris 500. All you have to do is ride one. I still perfer my RZR. The comfort from the Polaris is unbeatable IMO

I have a Can-Am Outlander 800 and wouldn't trade it for anything. (Maybe the Outlander 1000
) I have not had a minutes problem with mine. They are like any thing else if you take care of it, it should last a long time. We also have the Can-Am side by side, the torque and power they have is scary.

Can Am
A Honda won't be automatic. I have a Foreman 500 right now and would love to have a Can Am. What do you plan on doing with it? Just a hunting bike?

I have a honda that is very old and has been through very much hell and has never quit ticking.
That said, I wouldn't get a honda automatic. Their manual shifts are bulletproof. Not the biggest, baddest, fastest, meanest looking thing out there, but the most functional. I don't like their automatics though.
Go with a yammy if you're set on an automatic, just don't get a honda automatic without riding one first.
