That's what mine is. 96 model IIRC. Damn thing is bulletproof.
I'm still a long ways off from needing a new one.

The Honda 300 is probably one of the only bikes to be worth more now than when they came out. People are selling them for 3-4k without batting an eye.

Mine looks like it's a '56
Damn thing has been through so much hell it isn't even fair and I actually feel bad for it sometimes. Too many years in the swamp.
Simple maintenance though and it still runs like new. I've had people offer me $1000 for it, which is impressive considering how bad it looks.

I know others have said it, but I'm going to throw another vote in for going with a polaris ranger side x side. I've had 4 wheelers before, but since I've got a ranger now, I can't think of any reason to buy a 4 wheeler. I've got the cheapest 500 2x4 and I've never gotten it stuck, can put a 16' flatbed trailer behind it (it has a full size 2" receiver) and move it around if I need to, and has tons room for me and others. 800 lb bed capacity, and on and on.

It depends where you hunt. A SxS is worthless where I hunt. Too big to get around.
On a place where you have well developed roads and trails, they are hard to beat.

1985 200S FTW. Damn I wish I still had it

It's hard to make something look newer than it is, but it's pretty damn easy to make it look older than it is.

True, in reality, the number one thing I do with mine is take the kids to their grandparents. Just can't wait until they are old enough to do it themselves. Second thing is ranch work.

I'm still holding out hope to buy one from some old farmer for about $500.

Got a sakee mule diesel where I work and it's the shite for that kinda stuff. A 4wheeler can't hold a candle to a SxS for riding fences and shite. It's hard to carry 2 rolls of barbed wire and all the crap on a 4wheeler.
