You don’t recognize that as a copperhead? Hell I’m colorblind and it’s immediately recognizable.

Burn that son of a bitch after you chop it into pieces.

I’ve never had a copperhead screw with me like a cottonmouth will. Cottonmouth is da debil.

I’m a city boy. Don’t know much about snakes. Scared of all of them. It was on a friend’s property. He just moved from New York. Doesn’t know the local critters well.

Thanks for all the help.

Be careful, brother. Copperheads often come in bunches, and they are damn near invisible in a pile of leaves. I don’t think a copperhead bite is deadly very often, but you don’t want bit.

He just cleared off some of his property of the under brush. Must have ruined his hiding spot. Thanks for the warning

Put it in an aquarium and feed it mice and grasshoppers.

I’ll never forget what I was around 10 I caught a Cooperhead and brought it back to my dad and uncle holding it in my hands. The look on their two faces was priceless

People love to be scared of snakes, even the mighty "outdoorsmen" on this board. But, I promise they're not a big deal. If you're outside, watch where you put your hands and feet, and there's a 99.999% chance you'll never be bitten. And even if you were, the VAST majority of bites aren't life-threatening, especially from a copperhead. Despite the hysterical wives tales, none of them are going to chase after you to bite you. You're a giant predator, and they're basically helpless. They just want to not be seen, or get away.

Don't let the scardy-cats that will downvote this post influence you. Join some of the snake ID and education pages on FB or wherever. The more you learn, the more you'll understand how silly people act about snakes.
