Remington 700 300wsm with a thumbhole HS stock and Tunney trigger
Wearing a leupold VX6 3-18x50
Currently shooting fusion 150gr
Love the gun. Was shooting like shite out the box. Barely 1.5moa. After the trigger and stock upgrades it shoot lights out. .5moa or better. Shot a 1.75” 5 shot group at 400 yards last year.

Also have a my great grandpa's Springfield 1903 30-06 with an old bushnell 4-12 on top.
And for nasty days, my first rifle, Remington 700 .270 win synthetic stock with a bushnell 3-9x40. Was probably $250 at Walmart and has killed more deer than I can recall.

I've not deer hunted w/ a rifle in 20 years or so, but when I did I used a Winchester M70 in 270 Win w/ a Leupold 2-7X scope. Bought the gun when I was in high school. For many years I've been deer hunting w/ handguns/specialty pistols. This year my go to pistols will be Remington XP-100's, one in 7-08 and the other in 284 Win. The 7-08 use a 120 Sierra spire point bullet. The 284 will use loads w/ different bullets: 140 gr Nosler AccuBond and 150 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip.

I rarely tote a gun for deer, but my son has been asking to go with me this season, so I just picked up a Savage Hog Hunter .308 (good excuse to buy a new gun, right?). I may try to kill one with the irons before putting a scope on top.
