Tikka Hunter 270wsm
Redfield revolution 3-9x50 (meh)
Burris zee rings
Solid weaver base
Remington corelokt 130gr OR Barnes vortex
=
Dead animals
Spent the last 20 years hunting with a rem 7400 30.06 With an older Leopold vx1 scope.
That was my first real rifle that my dad bought me at 12 yrs old. Love that gun but The 3 inch groups finally got tiring.

How's the kick on that thing? What bullet are you shooting?

Federal 180gr partitions. I don’t find the recoil all that bad. It’s stout I guess, but the gun fits me well. I don’t think I’ve ever shot it more than about 10 times off of a table. Definitely worse than the 7mm-08’s and .243s I’ve shot but it isn’t miserble by any stretch.
I also own a 4.75 pound 12 gauge slug gun so my perception of recoil might be a little skewed

Yeah I bet. I'd love to have an 06 in the arsenal one day, and that's the one I've been eyeballing if not the Sako big brother. Everybody needs a 30-06

Buy it. It’s a hell of a nice rifle.
I’m the biggest boutique caliber nerd there ever was but when it came to buying my forever rifle, the math nerd in me took over. There is no logical justification for buying something other than a stainless T3 lite in .30-06

Open sites 30.06, to make it a challenge for every singe animal it's capable of killing in North America.

This is one caliber that I have never had a single interest in owning. And I have no idea why either I know its a classic and it flat out kills stuff and will kill anything in North America. I just never have had the desire to own one for some reason. I've shot several of them and my dad has a beauty of a BAR in it
