What is the endgame for the current ammunition “shortage?”

I have no doubts this ammunition shortage is done on purpose...and to keep us from exercising the 2a for which it was written. I do feel trouble is coming.

The ammunition shortage is because people keep buying shite for double what it was 8 months ago as soon as it hits the shelf, or even only as backordered. If people would stop that, supply would catch up/could even above with demand.
Also how is having a record number of people purchase guns and ammo somehow a nefarious plot to prevent people from exercising 2A?

Whoa man you are reading way to far into this. The ammo shortage is due to jack legs thinking they need to buy up every piece of ammo they see on a shelf.
Once these people stop panic buying (I'm talking about posters on this board as well) the shelves will be stocked again. This isn't the first time this has happened and it won't be the last.

I'm no economist (I'm not that smart either)...but some reloading powders are hard to come by from Winchester (Olin), Hodgdon, & VV (Lapua+Norma). All have huge military contracts to fulfil right now...that may play a part in it...along with all the jacklegs hoarding it as well

Winchester (Olin),
My grandfather worked in a Olin brass factory for over 40 years in East Alton, IL. Well minus 4 years for when he was in the Navy in WW2. I wish I still had brass that he made.

Everyone has to spend all of their ammo money on taxes.

I need to find some 410 ammo and it is gone everywhere.

The same people that control the toilet paper supply

There are cases of 410 ammo at Walmart here in Galveston,Tx.
Try Walmart near you.

If I'm ever as much of a wackjob as you.
Borrow some ammo and shoot me

Market seems prime for new manufacturers coming into the market. Wonder why we don't see much of that. Molds, Brass, lead and gun powder seems like a simple business model.

Panic buying will continue under the Biden administration as it did under Obama. Buckle up boys it’s gonna be a long ride. If that dementia ridden bastard gets a democratic senate then it’s gonna be even worse.

Same as the endgame for the toilet paper shortage when all the covid lockdowns started. Once the panic buyers stop hoarding supply as soon as it hits the shelves, the supply will catch back up
Posted on 11/9/20 at 10:59 am to jimbeam
Exactly. Go back to no panic buying and supply would catch up in 4-6 months.

I don't know if anything nefarious happens once it leaves the plant, but the place I work at is running as hard as it can.

I think primers are the biggest bottleneck currently

you can't find primers because they are all being used for factory loaded ammo.

This is insane. Id wager that every manufacturer out there would LOVE to be able to keep up.
Demand goes up, shelves start looking light, people start panic buying. Panic buying leads to severe panic buying where people will gladly pay double just to "pick up some rounds" and the supply lines can't keep up
