So is Quick-crete considered concrete since it has all the ingredients except water, or is it considered cement since it's incomplete?

Well this thread was an interesting read. There are some serious pearls of wisdom in here. Most notably that even if you are wrong, if everyone knows what you are talking about then you aren't wrong. Pure genius.

Oh and it's a magazine.....mag-a-zine.

Quik-Crete is cement mixed with the aggregates and sand. Once you add the water you have concrete

I searched for "clips" for a 10/22 I own. Several websites listed them as "clips". Guess they are wrong too

Probably marketed like that so that the ignorant masses that use the term "clip" incorrectly can find "MAGAZINES" for their firearms...I see it worked well for you...

It's cumulative frustration with general ignorance surrounding the entire topic of firearms among so much of the population, especially the media and liberals. The clip/mag thing is so often the straw that breaks the camel's back. It's a definitive litmus test differentiating between the informed vs uninformed at the most basic level.

This describes it perfectly.

Just like others have said, if you know the "general" term for something and use that term like the average person does, you probably don't possess a competence in said field.

Another example would be if someone got new "wheels" on his or her car and they only changed the rims or tires. Using the term "wheel" shows that you know the general term of the thing you're describing, but you're still not totally correct.

And, no, this is not political correctness. I hate political correctness with a passion and I believe it prevents us from accepting a lot of harsh realities by putting an "accepting" or "sensitive" spin on it. But hey, you're raised to believe that everyone is a winner and no one loses...
