Yeah those are nice. I should really look into getting one.

NRA lifetime membership for only $300 is up there too.

2nd best Lifetime for my kids

This completely slipped my mind.

My dad got me and my brother lifetime licenses at age 10. So when the time rolled around, we just brought in our receipts and they mailed them to us.

Me too. Just bought all 3 of my kids one for Christmas while I could get their combos for 200 a piece.

Back in 2001, I went to an outdoor show in Shreveport. There was a vendor there by the name of Shane Roten. He handmade acrylic ducks calls. It was best double reed call I've ever used, hands down. Cost me $75. Years later, I dropped the reed stem in the water and couldnt find it.

Tried to track him down again to buy another one, but word is he got in tax trouble and fled to Mexico or something. Regardless, I killed birds for years thanks to that thing.

A few cheap Filet knifes that cost around $2 each. Use to clean all game and fish. Makes it very easy to skin/debone a deer or pig.

I remember those calls they were good. I do remember him getting into trouble also.

A 4 wheeler was a great investment for me. Gets me to alot of hunting spots I wouldnt be able to reach otherwise.

I guess I'll predictably say the best investment I've made is the time, effort, and, money to become a licensed falconer.

I wish I had gotten a lifetime hunting license years ago.

I have a call made by Shane that I picked up in BR in the 90's. It never did sound as good in the field as it did at the show, so I never use it.

And to the guys saying lifetime license, I forgot all about that. I scrounged up the money and bought mine when I was in college in the early 90's. It paid for itself a long time ago.

I also bought one for my son when he was born in 2004.

My dad, my brother, and I all bought the Mellinium hang on setup. Between us now, we have 10 of the most comfortable treestands and have less than $1000 in them. For those unfamiliar, it is a lock on that you leave the block on the tree and carry in the stand like a climber. After you buy the stand, all you have to buy is a set of climbing sticks and a block, and you have another setup.

Wiltznucs - I am looking for a good guided turkey hunt for my Dad and I to go one. I realize it might be late this year to get one, but willing to set it up for next year. Any advice would be great.
TIA
