I know we have this thread a good bit, but im looking at new foods. My dog is starting to get ashy skin with some skin bumps. Going to the vet friday, and im sure they are going to try to get me to switch foods. my dog has been on TOTW since he was a puppy, and only just now im seeing issues. this past summer his coat was great. I have been switching up the flavor. could this be the issue?
how is the Pro plan for sensitive skin and stomach? the only other time i started feeding him different stuff he had the squirts the whole time.

I feed my pointer Pro Plan Sport 30/20. His turds are solid and he's a lean 80lbs as of last week. It's not grain free so that's something you need to decide on. I buy on Amazon for around $40 for a 37.5lb bag.

I switched from Pro-Plan to Victor over a year ago and I have been very pleased with everything about the food.

Same as wick, been feeding my lab victor for 4 years with no issues! Great food and he seems to like it but then again he will eat about anything

We feed our Fromm.
It's the best I've tried with several dogs. Feel like I've been through all of them.
As mentioned earlier, great solid dumps and incredible coat.

Why not just wait and see what your vets recommendations are on the food? You're paying for their opinion.

vets opinions are really horse shite when it comes to what they recommend. You are almost always going to get whatever they have a deal with a vendor on. Typically science diet which is really no better than any other food at walmart. I've been using 4health grain free food from Tractor Supply. It has been awesome for my lab. The truth is what works good for one may not be the best for another. It depends on their particular digestive system and what they may or may not have sensitivities to. I would start by trying some grain free food in whatever brand you want to try first and go from there. It may take a few bags but you will find something that works good for your dog.

Fair enough
that new boat isn't going to pay for itself!
I have the same feeling when I go to the doctor or consult with a lawyer.

This was inevitable. OP save your money and go see random internet guy. I'm sure he'll get ya all fixed up.

Merrick has really helped my boxer out.
No more ear infections and scratching at her neck.

I buy IAMS Natural. Not the cheapest, and not the most expensive. My vet says the "grain free" foods are marketing hype and not worth the extra money.

Fromms
Lab breeder I use recommends a high protein (30%) diet for her dogs. Have fed latest lab fromms for 10 yrs (he is 12 this yr), no issues and has kept a healthy weight. Dog supplements his diet w/ usual lab tidbits such as dead fish, rabbit turds, etc ..... he is a lab.
Order on line w/ free shipping, its about $45 for 30 lb
