After all these years, I’m still throwing Abu Garcia Ambassadeurs. Tried and true. I also like them for the convince of maintaining them.

I bass fish exclusively so don’t consider salt corrosion in my BC purchases.

I got a Daiwa Tatula Elite recently that is on my Chatterbait rod. It can bomb them and generally known as one of the longest casting reels around. T-Wing Systmem can be finicky with leader knots so that’s one watch out.

Daiwa Coastal SV TW. Used to be a Shimano only person; I was wrong.

The 2020 tatula sv and the coastal sv both use the same frame. The coastal has a 150 size spool vs a 100 for the tatula so has more line capacity. Coastal also has a 100mm handle vs a 90mm for the tatula and has 2 crbb's vs no crbb's in the tatula.
Zaion star drag vs regular plastic. Tatula has a stronger braking profile as well, better for lighter lures and skipping vs distance casting.
The 2017 tatula sv is based on a larger frame, and this one also has 2 crbb's. Slightly heavier than the 2020 and same line capacity iirc.

Not true according to their website. They both use 2 + 5.

They must've recently changed that. I've looked on the Daiwa site before and only the older tatula sv had crbb's listed, the newer just said 7bb +1. Just checked the box for mine and it doesn't show any either, just says 7 +1 while the box for my now lost 2017 says 2 crbb's. Got me wondering if the 2020 has always had them and they just had it listed wrong or if it's a new addition.

Maybe they’re showing 2021s? I don’t see the year.

Curado K is the best bang for your buck in my opinion. I have those and a hand full of 70s.

Have a mix between Shimano, Lew's, and 13 fishing.

I have a $99 Lew's that I really like and end up fishing just as much as my Curados.

experience with the Tranx

I got my Dad the smallest Tranx or the corrosion resistance. He fishes it a ton. Good real but maybe slightly heavier than others near the same size

I have concept A’s, a concept Z, few curado dc’s, a curado k, a tatula sv tw, a couple revo premiers, a lews custom inshore. I think that’s it. All have been good reels to me. The only one I wouldn’t buy again is the concept Z. It’s a couple years old and just doesn’t cast as well as my other reels anymore.
Somebody posted the revo premier sale link a while back. They were going for $150 and I scooped up a couple. That was a solid deal.

Curado DC hands down

I have 2 and best reels I have ever owned hands down. I love being able to throw in the wind and not have to worry about a backlash.

A few pieces parts that have some corrosion free metals from what I understand.

My Tatula went under water in Zeta and I live on the water in a somewhat salty brackish water air environment.

My freshwater Tatula is still going strong. I use it for saltwater fishing as well

I use bass pro regular cheap 35 dollar bait casters. I wear out the gears from all the trout I slay... ...so I just buy new ones every couple of seasons

I pretty much always use the highest gear ratio. Most of mine are around 8.1:1
