Pookies has those scopes you can see very well at night.

Troy is the best in the area about archery. They’re supposed to move the store @ the end of the year and it’ll have an indoor shooting range out to 60 yards in the new location.
The owner of the store is a really nice guy as well.
As far as size and selection, there’s nothing close to Simmons in the state.
TP is a nice store.
Spotted Dog is nice as well. Chad & his dad are good people.

Simmons is the best. Some other cool stores out there but none compare to Simmons in size, scope and quality. Just too far from south and central LA.

Security sporting goods in Alexandria.
But seriously Boone's Hunting and Trapping in Woodworth is a little gem. Just pass up the entrance to the shooting range and you run in to it. Just a little building behind their house but a great place to buy a gun and some ammo.

Lafayette Shooters is awesome. I haven't been in Songy's in probably 20 years, but that used to be a good spot back in the day.

If there's something better than Simmon's I'm not familiar with it.

Terrible location to get in an out of but hey do have plenty of what you’re looking for. Always aggravated me to have them follow you around so they could put their commission # on your items.
Haven’t been in security in probably 35 years, downtown location was cool as a kid.

Spotted Dog in Columbia is really good.
Best place in Louisiana hands down.

Simmons is probably the best in Arkansas, Mississippi, and Arkansas. Yes, I am aware of Mack's in Stuttgart, but compare the deer hunting and optics and it's not even close.

Cajun Fast Mart in Carlyss. Great fishing store with salt and freshwater baits. Lots of hunting gear but no guns, just ammo. And the jalapeno infused sammiches are in a league of their own.

Scarfed down a many of BLT's from Cajun Fast Mart!

I have always loved Simmons. Good selection, good prices, and one of the few places where the guys working the gun counter don't act like they're Jerry Miculek and you're some idiot who has never seen a gun before.

I agree. Mack's is more touristy and geared a lot more towards duck hunting... which is fine and that's the allure of that area.
I prefer Simmons and will drive an hour to shop there in a heartbeat. Good folks and a great selection of whatever you are looking for.
Honey Hole in Monroe is good also and will stop in if I happen to be in Monroe but typically won't make a special trip to shop there.
