Just found out I'm not going to be able to get away from the house much next hunting/football season (nine months from now)

Still at the point where you're supposed to wait to tell people, but I had to say it somewhere.

congrats man

We had our first in May of last year, and I was only able to get in the woods about 10 times this year

Didn't really miss that much though, I cherish my Saturdays with just me and my daughter

Congrats bro. I'm concerned this will happen to me. I think the best time to be due is March or September. That way there's as little interference as possible with fishing and hunting.

First couple of years are tougher but soon you have a hunting partner. Plus wife can't really complain about the two of you spending time in the woods together.

Trust me, I couldn't care less if I completely miss it. I can't wait.

Congrats! Nothing better than spending time in the woods with your kids. My sone killed his first this year! I was more excited than him

That's exciting. Congrats and hopefully you can still slip in an afternoon hunt or two

This is the only acceptable answer.

Congrats!

You can go, but you just have to plan it well.

If its 9 months from now, hopefully by January you should be ok to start going more often.

you'll miss hunting for a little while, but your family should always come first. That said, you may just have a new hunting partner! Prayers for a healthy KG6II

Took my 4 year old to the blind yesterday on what wouldn't normally have been a hunting day, but wife was excited cause I was taking our daughter. It was greatness!

Congratulations man

I am in that boat right now. Had my first one this October 4th. Made a grand total of 2 duck hunts (and 2 teal hunts a few days before she arrived) but its for a good cause

Famous words TClay told me as we sat in the blind teal hunting- "Never make the full release before March or April"
